Historia
Damien and Amma have landed themselves in the midst of Yvlcon, the preeminent congregation of the vilest and most unscrupulous villains in existence. Once again amongst his peers, Damien’s moral growth is threatened just when he’s learning to be slightly less evil. Consequently, Amma finds her own virtue in peril when faced with so much temptation. But a burgeoning romance is doused in the coldest of baths when the Grand Order of Dread commands Damien to once again face the swirling vortex of entropy that’s been hunting them all over the realm.

So good!
Revisado: 02-06-25
This whole series is such a surprise, it’s so perfect. Everything I’ve ever wanted from a fantasy novel. Highly recommend the series (this is book 3)

Narrator has an annoying voice
Revisado: 08-06-24
I couldn’t get beyond 20 minutes in this audiobook because the narrator’s voice is annoying. It’s ok at regular speed but absolutely intolerable above 1.2x. First book I’ve run into with this problem. If you’re ok with listening at the regular pace, it sounds like a very nice book.

Historia
Psychiatrist Dr. Gwen Moore is an expert on killers. She’s spent a decade treating California’s most depraved predators and unlocking their motives - predators much like the notorious Bloody Heart serial killer, whose latest teenage victim escaped and then identified local high school teacher Randall Thompson as his captor. The case against Thompson as the Bloody Heart Killer is damning - and closed, as far as Gwen and the media are concerned. If not for one new development.

Poorly researched
Revisado: 05-24-24
Anyone who works in law or the medical field will be constantly cringing while reading this book. Yes the final who-dunnit reveal was good, but the whole time there were several plot-supporting points that just made absolutely no sense.

How is this popular?
Revisado: 01-29-24
For the first half of the book, literally only 2 things happen. The characters’ decisions and motives and speech don’t match up. There is no character development (until the very end). I was told to just get through this book so I could read the rest of the series… here’s to hoping it is redeemed
