Historia
For years, Aidan Cullen has dreamed of becoming a successful crime writer. When his hard work finally pays off and his first book is published, what should have been a night of celebration unravels into an evening of horror. Left for dead after a brutal attack, trauma leaves him paranoid and reclusive, and he retreats to the remote countryside with only his dog Nanook for company. With the world kept at arm’s length, he begins to feel safe. That is, until a woman is murdered at the end of his road.

you over analyze everything.
I enjoy the book. There were times where I was like “ok, come on…” it’s a little slow but if I didn’t over think everything than I would have been blown away. But I still shocked because I was a bit lost for a moment.
Yes, I’d recommend this book. The Narrator was great for the storyline; he made it come to life.

I wasn’t supposed to be on that roof on Valentine’s Day. Neither was Kellan Marchetti, the school’s designated freak. We met on the verge of ending our lives. Somehow, the tattered strings of our tragedies tangled and tightened into an unlikely bond. We decided not to take the plunge and agreed to check on each other every Valentine’s Day until school ended. Same time. One roof. Two restless souls. We kept our promise for three years.

Hauntingly Beautiful …
Revisado: 02-28-25
I don’t know how else to describe this book but I will never forget this story.
This book broke my heart and pieced it back together a little at a time.
Such a beautifully written masterpiece. I don’t throw that word around a lot either.
The Narrators really brought such beauty to this storyline.
I’m looking forward to many more books from this author.
I highly recommend; DEFINITELY worth the credit.

A little speechless…
Revisado: 02-28-25
Have no idea what to say. There were some very graphic scenes but you did get a trigger warning.
I LOVED everything about this book, the plot, the narrators, the unstoppable laughter, the suspense, the grossness and the spicy scenes. There were was not one part of this that I didn’t love. I listened to it within a day and a half. I didn’t want to stop.
I would highly recommend. I don’t normally feel the need to reread books but this is on my favorites list to return to when I need to get out of a book rut.
I wish more books had a bit of everything this book had offered.
This was my first book by this author. After reading this I’m so excited to listen to more of hers.
The narrators added a lot to this story as well. Thank you for picking the perfect voices for Butcher & Blackbird. Truly makes a world of difference.
If you have a stomach for gore, have a dark sense of humor and enjoy some “lady corn,” this is the book for you.

Historia
Trauma victims are not new to medical examiner Faith McIntyre, but this one is different. The unconscious woman clinging to life after a hit and run is FBI agent Macy Crow. What the woman from Quantico was doing in a dark alley after midnight is just one mystery. The other is more unsettling: Macy is Faith’s mirror image—the twin sister she never knew she had.

Revisado: 02-28-25
If you don’t have a good Narrator then it can ruin a book. This book was already fulfilling but Brittany pushed it even further. Her ability to change her voice for characters makes you forget it is just her.
I did enjoy the story line as well.
Looking forward to more books by this author. I’d recommend.

Historia
Being the twin of a movie star isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Eva is glamorous, sweet, and everything I’m not. Believe me, every person in my life has made that crystal clear. The press calls me the Ice Queen, leaving pack after pack broken in my wake. I wish it were true. All I’ve ever wanted was a pack—to be loved and cherished the way an Omega was meant to be—but now I’ve given up hope. Every group I meet wants a copy of my sister. Let’s not even mention the ones who called me by her name.

Enjoyed it but not super original
Revisado: 02-28-25
I didn’t feel like there was much of a story point. Lots of steamy scenes but I felt like there wasn’t much to the storyline. I guess I enjoy more suspense/thriller type of books. Instead the female was very insecure about everything in life. Sweet love story but felt rushed. But maybe that’s just their nature of a pack? Narrators were easy to listen to.

I really liked the multi-view point. It almost felt like I was listening to a tv show instead of a book since it was different voices on different parts. Really nice change of pace. Lots of steamy scenes. Would recommend.

Rosie Belmont has been driving me wild for years. The good kind of wild. The bad kind of wild. But mostly the kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend’s little sister and knowing you can’t have her. After living in the city, she comes blasting back into Rose Hill like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed desperate plea for a job is all it takes for me to hire her.

Reallly disappointed
Revisado: 02-15-25
So, when the male reads the chapters, it almost feels like he’s reading a different book. Some of the time I zoned out from those passages because they didn’t seem to go with the rest of the book. The first dozen chapters are incredible and keep you on the edge of your seat but then at some point it fell flat. Nothing made sense. There was one “ah-ha” moment at the very end. But to be honest, I’m really disappointed that I used a credit on this book. I lost the time that I gave this book. I honestly wouldn’t recommend. This was creepy only in the beginning and the end felt like it was just missing a lot but then it felt like two books had their endings swapped. This book had a lot of potential. I don’t like ever leaving negative reviews but this book wasn’t worth the credit.
The Narrators were the only reason I continued listening to the end.

Revisado: 02-07-25
I have always loved when Karissa Vacker. Her being the Narrator was what brought me to this book. I am so glad I took the chance. This book was exactly what I needed to get out of my book slump of disappointing books. I’m looking forward to more from this author. Highly recommend to anyone that likes multi-person view and suspense with some thriller aspects.

I agree with majority of the reviews listed.
Revisado: 07-30-24
This was a really exciting book and I didn’t want to stop listening at all. I binged for two days. The Narrator was AMAZING.
BUT the ending; highly disappointed. Cliffhanger was not fun especially with not having a follow up. It would have been nice if the author gave an alternative ending.
Normally, I wouldn’t mind a cliffhanger but this is just too sad.
I have mixed feelings. This is my first book that I’ve listened to so I’m not sure if I want to try anymore but I did enjoy the pace of the book and how it was written just the ending was disappointing.
I would recommend but with caution.
