Historia
Kenyon Ellis knows getting involved with Julian Anderson is an enormous mistake—but from the very first night, he finds him annoying, intriguing and ultimately, irresistible. One, Kenyon is a player, and Julian is a reporter, so hooking up with him, no matter how spectacular the nights are, is a terrible idea. Two, he’s falling for him, even if Julian continues to be prickly and impossible. But every time Julian’s walls shift, Kenyon sees the real man behind the attitude, and he only wants more.

Great Addition to the Piranhas family
Revisado: 02-03-24
I love Beth Bolden and I love the Piranhas. I had already read this book many times before listening to the story, and I love when audiobooks bring the story even more to life, which this certainly did. I found the connection between Kenyon and Julian to be really deep and meaningful, especially when it came to supporting Julian's needs. While I love Darcy Stark, there were times I didn't love his read of Julian, which was my only negative amongst loads of love.

Historia
Ex-quarterback Davis Abernathy knows he’s on his last chance. If he strikes out as Paxton Kelly’s coach, nobody else is going to call him. Not to get back on the field, and not to stand on the sidelines. He’s got a lot to teach Pax, and as a second-year quarterback, Pax has a lot to learn. But Davis doesn’t anticipate the irresistible way they’ll be drawn together from their first meeting. He never could have predicted such a fierce and uncontrollable yearning—or that Pax would feel the same.

Forbidden Romance in Sports- All the feels!
Revisado: 11-29-23
I have read Playing by the Rules many times, as well as the rest of the Piranhas and Riptide books, and was a little worried about listening to it. Sometimes listening to a book I love throws me off because it doesn't sound how I expected! This was fun to listen to and if anything added to my experience when re-reading it (again...). I love this story of a (slight) age-gap coach/player situation that is grounded in a very real and strong friendship.

Historia
As the new head coach of the Vancouver Orcas, Matt Shore has got his work cut out for him. Coming off a season where the Orcas came in last in the entire AHL, Matt’s job is to whip his new hockey team into shape for the oncoming season. He doesn’t need any distractions, especially not one in the form of a tall, dark, and gorgeous antiques dealer. Who’s also his ex—and his best player’s father.

Another Great Book from Amy Aislin!
Revisado: 11-02-23
I love Amy's stories and this one continues her trend of stories that include great character development and endearing side characters. I especially liked how this story focused on a father of a young adult- I often read books with fathers with young children, but seeing the relationship with an older child adds a whole other dynamic. While I understood why Matt opened himself back up to Pierce, their quick re-connection felt in some ways rushed to me and my only quip with the story was perhaps some more development leading up to this connection. I can't wait to read more about them in the next book!

Historia
It’s Blair Brawsiski’s ride or die year. After a decade in the AHL, if he doesn’t get called up to the NHL this season, it’s time to hang up his skates and focus on other things. But between a second job and family priorities, his attention isn’t where it should be, and his dreams of making it to the big leagues are dwindling by the day.

Adorable Story with Likeable Characters
Revisado: 11-01-23
I'm a big fan of Amy's work overall and this book certainly did not disappoint. I really loved the character development with both MCs and how they each helped highlight for eachother ways in which they were not always prioritizing what was best for them. This was my first book with this narrator and I really liked the Canadian accent- there were times that having the narrator use multiple voices for different characters seemed unrealistic, however that is always the case with audiobooks- there are only so many Canadian accents that sound real! I would highly recommend this book and the others leading up to the Orcas as well.
