Historia
Pete Banning was Clanton's favorite son, a returning war hero, the patriarch of a prominent family, a farmer, a father, a neighbor, and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.

My LAST John Grisham Book
Revisado: 11-16-18
Listening to this book was tortuous to me. I started several times to quit listening and forget it, and when I got to the end I wished I had. It was ENTIRELY too long, heavily burdened with long drawn out bothersome details from beginning to end. All the good guys lost and the bad guys won. I have no idea what the point of this book was, but I listen to audio books to be entertained, not tortured. Sure hate to see him go as I have really many of his books, but NOT this one,

In this poignant love story that is redolent with Southern atmosphere, Dylan and Maggie must come to terms with their past before they can embrace their future.

Dead last of the Charles Martin books I'v read
Revisado: 05-28-18
Far, far to wordy. Took 5 to 10 minutes with a lot of flowery words to get to a point. Every page seem to have something awful happening to one of the main characters. I had a hard time finishing it.

Good Book
Revisado: 11-30-16
What would have made The Wrong Side of Goodbye better?
I liked the story and the characters, and loved dear old Harry as usual. I could have lived without all the GDs and Fs the author used this time. Don't recall him doing that in the past - at least not to the extent he did in this book.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Probably the latest John Grisham book.
Would you be willing to try another one of Titus Welliver’s performances?
Wouldn't go looking for him nor would I avoid him. Don't pay much attention to readers unless they are unusually good or unusually bad.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Sure - it was a pretty typical Harry Bosch book that I liked a lot. I will be eagerly awaiting the next one. I just didn't like all the foul language which I think adds nothing to a book, and is an irritant to me.
Any additional comments?
Like I said, eagerly awaiting the next Harry Bosch book.

Where does Run Before the Wind rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top 10%
What other book might you compare Run Before the Wind to and why?
Compared favorably to Chiefs which may be the best book I've ever listened to.
What about Rick Holmes and John Keating ’s performance did you like?
I liked them a lot.
If you could rename Run Before the Wind, what would you call it?
Nothing comes to mind!
Any additional comments?
I had listened to all of the Will Lee series prior to listen to this. As far as I know the audio version of this one had not been available until fairly recently. The Will Lee series is one of my all time favorites, and I have listened to audio books constantly for close to 20 years.

Historia
Just in time for the run-up to the 2012 election, the bestselling author of Do the Right Thing and A Simple Christmas takes his vision even further, offering clear solutions to the key issues facing our nation in the Obama era. Politicians, lobbyists, and so-called experts spend too much time arguing and focusing on the differences that divide us. As a result, those in Washington are obsessed with the win or loss of their side and not with actually solving problems.....

Not one of Woods' best efforts
Revisado: 02-13-12
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes, but not strongly. I thought the story had several holes in the detective work, and a couple of dumb conclusions on the part of our heroes Stone and Dino. Appeared they were thinking with the wrong head on several occassions. Stuart seems to be fascinated with Teddy Faye who appears yet again. I've about had all of the exposure to him I care for.
Would you be willing to try another book from Stuart Woods? Why or why not?
Yes. Woods is one of my favorite authors, and everyone has a not so good effort from time to time.

Ken Follett's World Without End was a global phenomenon, a work of grand historical sweep beloved by millions of readers and acclaimed by critics. Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.
