Wonderful narration brings an old classic to life
Revisado: 09-28-23
The narrator made this audiobook a great experience. Each character had their own voice and personality that were different enough and whimsical without being unbelievable/too silly/detracting. A very enjoyable performance of an old classic!

Historia
It’s difficult to totally disconnect from our jobs outside of work hours. But not doing so can cause long-term stress, burnout, and loss of the joy we find in work. As a top tech leader, Bruce Daisley has seen up close how an around-the-clock work culture can lead employees to feel perpetually stressed-out, disengaged, and unhappy. In this workshop, Daisley lays out specific strategies to help us break free from the unhealthy work habits that lead to burnout and shows us that protecting our personal time can lead to more inspiration and more joy on the job.

Lessen the blow of burnout, or stop it entirely?
Revisado: 07-31-23
This is a short, easy listen about the topic of burnout in a work setting. The narrator has a nice voice for the topic, but what makes him nice to listen to is his obvious interest in the subject he is speaking of. During the audiobook he brings up several examples of problems that have occurred, changes that were made, and their after effects on people and the work place.
I've had burnout take away the quality of not just days but weeks at a time before I recovered. After listening to this, I feel like it's gotten my brain cogs working on checking in on and assessing my own burnout level, as well as things I could do to mitigate it.
