I spent 70% of this book so confused why everything was happening to Dove. I would have never guessed that plot twist! I hated all the suspense but it was absolutely worth it!

In the beginning of this book I wasn’t sure if I liked it or not, but after a few hours I found myself laughing out loud at the “wtf” moments. It was everything I didn’t know I needed and enjoyed all the craziness.

I usually like a good dark romance but this one was a bit much! My heart broke for Aspen! I wouldn’t want to live if I were her, maybe that’s why she has a bad case of Stockholm syndrome? I just wanted this book to be over and said I wouldn’t get book 2, BUT that cliffhanger got me to buy it!

I absolutely loved this book! Riona, her badass lawyer attitude, it’s like she has a stick up her butt and expects too much from others, as if she wants her life to look a certain way. But here comes Raylan that turns her life upside down. They’re total opposites, he’s funny, a bad ass and just fun to be around. He changes her outlook on love and life. Fantastic book and narration!

Dante, the oldest of the Gallos. In the previous books he’s portrayed as aloof, dark and dangerous. His story is so heartbreaking and we finally understand why he joined the military and is how he is. What simone did to him makes me mad and so sad for Dante.
Simone is basically her parents prisoner. Everything is expected of her since her sister is ill. She kind of annoyed me but I understood why she did what she did to protect what was most precious to her.
In the end I was happy that Dante got his happily ever after even though he had to sacrifice so much!

Book two in the Brutal Birthright series.
At first I just couldn’t comprehend how sweet, innocent, Nessa could possibly fall for Miko. I love how smart and sweet Nessa is & how she became friends with Clara & learned Polish, she’s very smart and under estimated.
Miko becomes boss when his adoptive father was killed. His father was a vial man but Miko turned out to be a good man when in love and not like his father or brother.
At the end this book had me crying.
Narration was fantastic!
