The characters were likeable and funny and with depth. Tansy rocks, I like her alot, her strength, humour and chats to herself. Great book, lighthearted but gripping, cool characters, humour, magic and mystery. Really enjoyed it. Pleasantly surprised as don't usually go outside known authors and so glad I did. looking forward to next instalment. Thank you. oh loved the narrator too 😊

Brilliant story line and detail. Love the characters, their development and growth and the relationship building between species. Definitely up there as one of my favourite series and gutted only have one book to go! Love these characters. Narrator is excellent too😍

Awesome story but...

Great story, plot and character detail. The only thing that let it down was the repitative sex scenes. I found myself fast forwarding through them as became a bit boring, same comments, same focus on domination, same details- am not a pride in anyway but . I felt they detracted rather than enhanced the story and did not quite match the emotions. Apart from that loved the book, the characters are brilliant and loved the tie in with the mercury pack.

Would you listen to Dark Witch again? Why?

Yes. I totally enjoyed it - great escapism, love the focus on the old ways and the characters added flavor and depth..

What other book might you compare Dark Witch to and why?

Morrigans Cross Trilogy - whilst this was not quite as good as that series has the same depth and flavor of good versus evil, magic, love and strong woman coming into their own.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes definitely.

Is a shame we have to wait so long for the next book - i would like to read it now!

What made the experience of listening to Magic Bites the most enjoyable?

Fantastic narrator1 The story line is fantastic but may take a little time to get your head around it but is well worth the minor effort to do so. Is great plot, background environment and the characters are complex, with great humour, great personality and interactions. The dynamic between them all keeps it very interesting.

What other book might you compare Magic Bites to and why?

Not sure if there is one quite like it but i have been reading Faith Hunter and there are some similarities with the humour and the tough arse women character - LOVE IT!!

What does Renée Raudman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her tone, infliction is Kate Daniels.. She is fantastic. Adds a huge amount of depth and character to the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and when it finished i bought the next one!

Well worth a read, and all the books after wards. Am devastated that Audible only stocks the first three.

Very annoying but love the characters

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes if you had read the first one but hard going due to the ongoing drama after drama and i caught myself rolling my eyes and fast forwarding only to do so again. This got really boring as you just wanted resolution and the story to pick up not another drama to start

Was Twice Dead worth the listening time?

It could have been halved and more enjoyable

Great story line, great characters - ruined by the monotony of every turn creating more and more drama which made it feel so negative and never ending. I fast forwarded many times and still would get to a bit and do it again as it just went on and one. I nearly stopped listening on numerous occasions just as so sick of the ongoing story and no resolution. Great book but couldve been halved and been better and less dribbly. Looking forward to next book but hope like heck it doesn't get lost like this one

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely, easy read and sucks you right in. Strong goresou woman character who kicks butt and all the series has great story lines - I am now on Book 4 and devastated there are no more after that.

What did you like best about this story?

All the characters and thei history and myth behind them and Jane Yellowrock is a fantastic main. You fall in love with Beast and together Jane and Beast are a amazing duo.

Have you listened to any of Khristine Hvam’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I havent but i think she does a awesome job with this.

Fantastic read, highly recommended. Succumb to Jane Yellowrock and forget the real world for a little while :)

Would you listen to Hounded again? Why?

Definitely. Great story line, great characters, humour. Love the characters and the way the author has incorporated modern life and laso mythology. I initially thought it was going to be too detailed as early on there is detailed explanation for things, but soon forgot about this and got engrossed in story and didn't notice this again.
Very clever and very addictive. I fall in love with Oberon and couldn't wait for next book.

What other book might you compare Hounded to and why?

I have recently been reading Jeanne Stein's series and think these are slightly similar in regards to weaving different fantasy characters together, however Kevin Hearne has a broader focus given the mythology and history he explores/includes.

Which character – as performed by Luke Daniels – was your favorite?

Oberon! i love his wit and humour and the way he talks. Is fabulous. Narrator is brilliant.

Any additional comments?

I have listened to all three books in this series now and was devastated when the last one ended. Can not wait until Tricked so the saga continues. Definitely recommend this series as a brilliant listen, great escapism and educating and entertaining view of druidsm and the old world.

Right up there - was a real nice surprise and would definitely be a favourite

She is a great narrator and really brings it alive and becomes Samantha Moon

Yes i hated having to turn it off.

Excellent reading and sucks you right in - i ended up getting all 4! Great story, believabel and very real. Nice surprise as didnt expect it to be this. incredibly enjoyable read, love the character, the plot, the story and the narrator. Excellent in my view - all round! Definitely a JR Rain fan and cant wait till the 5th installment!
