Historia
Artorian shrugged off moonfall and war like it was a gentle rain and must now face new trials. Specifically: life in the world created by the Dungeon Core, Cal. Unfortunately, Cal has only put together the most bare-bones of systems. He's no stranger to solving near impossible problems; how difficult could it be to smooth out the slew of angry Mages with bitter rivalries, uncountable hidden secrets, a complete inability to cultivate, and a Dungeon creating messes at full speed? One way or another, it is up to Artorian to pick up the pieces.

Bad addition to the series
Revisado: 12-08-20
There wasn't really a plot, this felt like a bunch of short ideas thrown together with very little cohesive thread. they skip large lengths of time with no reason (they claim to have a reason but it is flimsy at best)
it is a shame as the first 4 books were wonderful but it felt like this had no direction, no purpose, no reason to exist. Felt like a bunch of fluff and trying to change the world and story completely for no reason.
If you liked the pervious books in this series, skip this one. Maybe the next book will have some substance that will help the series survive.

It isn't easy, being a teenage pharaoh. You're not allowed to carry money, uninhibited young women peel your grapes for you, everyone thinks you're responsible for making the sun rise and the corn grow, you keep dreaming about seven thin cows and seven fat cows (one of them playing the trombone), and on top of everything else, the Great Pyramid has just exploded because of paracosmic instability.

Feels more disjointed than the usual Discworld boo
Revisado: 03-14-18
This is the first of the series I have not finished reading. It feels like a bunch of things were thrown together without planning. I skipped to Guards, Guards! and didn't have any issues with that one.

Historia
Johannes Cabal, a necromancer of some little infamy, has come into possession of a vital clue that may lead him to his ultimate goal: a cure for death. The path is vague, however, and certainly treacherous as it takes him into strange territories that, quite literally, no one has ever seen before. The task is too dangerous to venture upon alone, so he must seek assistance - comrades for the coming travails.

My favorite of the series
Revisado: 12-06-17
Many favorite characters return in this last book. The author breaks the fourth wall several times in the most hilarious of manners. I had a difficult time pausing this book.

Historia
The technology likely to have the greatest impact on the future of the world economy has arrived, and it's not self-driving cars, solar energy, or artificial intelligence. It's called the blockchain. The first generation of the digital revolution brought us the Internet of information. The second generation - powered by blockchain technology - is bringing us the Internet of value: a new, distributed platform that can help us reshape the world of business and transform the old order of human affairs for the better.

Lots of examples but doesn't address problems
Revisado: 07-17-17
The narration was well done but I feel like a lot of the issues were glossed over. They didn't cover potential pitfalls of blockchain technology until chapter 9, and there's several obvious concerns that were never brought up. However, if you only want to know about all the possibilities and the organizations involved currently with the tech, this is a brilliant book.

Enjoyable read with constant action
Revisado: 03-30-17
The author tosses you right into the action almost before you get to know the main character, but that's only for the first few scenes. I plan on re-reading this again soon.

Revisado: 10-04-16
The first chapter has a bunch of pops and off-putting sounds besides the narrator. I don't know if the narrator is purposely trying to sound pompous but it grated on my nerves. I'm still trying to decide if I want to try reading it instead.

Historia
You can't kill the dead! Like any good monster, the zombie has proven to be ever-evolving, monumentally mutable, and open to seemingly endless imaginative interpretations: the thralls of voodoo sorcerers, George Romero's living dead, societal symbols, dancing thrillers, viral victims, reanimated ramblers, video-gaming targets, post-apocalyptic permutations, shuffling sidekicks, literary mash-ups, the comedic, and, yes, even the romantic.

Perfect for nerds
Revisado: 03-04-16
This story contains a brilliant blend of nostalgia and apocalypse. It contains all kinds of 80's trivia combined with a bleak future. The story is almost surreal. I do have to admit I struggled briefly towards the beginning, but it picks up quickly after that. It ends up being a fantastic ride.

Historia
As a research neuroscientist, Lise Eliot has made the study of the human brain her life's work. But it wasn't until she was pregnant with her first child that she became intrigued with the study of brain development. She wanted to know precisely how the baby's brain is formed, and when and how each sense, skill, and cognitive ability is developed. And most importantly, she was interested in finding out how her role as a nurturer can affect this complex process.

More interested in scaring moms than helping
Revisado: 01-05-16
I wasn't impressed. After a couple hours I realized about half of what I was hearing was handled in such a way that it made me more nervous than actually providing good info. She tends to linger on more stressful topics even while pointing out that some of the studies she mentions have faulty biases. Since it's an audio book, I don't have access to any bibliography to help me make sense of where she's coming from. I did not keep listening past the first 10 chapters.

THIS IS NOT BOOK 2!
Revisado: 06-14-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I got very confused when I first started listening to this after listening to book 1: The Maze of Bones. It is very clear within a couple minutes of starting chapter 2 that there is a whole book missing between The Maze of Bones and Unstoppable. I don't know why Audible has it mislabeled, but this is actually book 3 in the series; One False Note is the second book.
What could Jeff Hirsch have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
My problem is strictly with Audible labeling this as the second book. I'm sure that once I have finished the real second book that I will enjoy this one.
How could the performance have been better?
What little I listened to was good.
Could you see The 39 Clues: Unstoppable, Book 2 being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
They would probably need to use multiple books to make a good movie, but it could work.
