Historia
Molly Gray’s life is about to change in ways she could never have imagined. As the esteemed Head Maid and Special Events Manager of the Regency Grand Hotel, two good things are just around the corner—a taping of the hit antiquities TV show Hidden Treasures and, even more exciting, her wedding to Juan Manuel. When Molly brings in some old trinkets to be appraised on the show, one item is revealed to be a rare and coveted artifact worth millions. Molly becomes a rags-to-riches sensation, and a media frenzy swirls as she prepares to sell her priceless treasure.

Excellent Resource
Revisado: 04-27-21
I discovered this book after listening to a few of Joan’s podcasts and I found it to be an excellent resource. My journey to a nonprofit E.D. role was from the for profit world, so it was a big adjustment. It was nice to discover that some of the things that I was experiencing were not all that unusual in the nonprofit world.
I also picked up some good solid ideas and suggestions that I could put to use right away. Professional development is something that I’ve always believed in, and when it comes out of your own pocket you might be slightly more selective in your choices. This book was money well spent. Thanks Joan for all the time, effort and energy that you continue to invest in making the world a better place! 🥰

Historia
In Indistractable, Eyal reveals the hidden psychology driving us to distraction. He describes why solving the problem is not as simple as swearing off our devices: Abstinence is impractical and often makes us want more. Eyal lays bare the secret of finally doing what you say you will do with a four-step, research-backed model. Indistractable reveals the key to getting the best out of technology, without letting it get the best of us.

Lots of helpful tactics
Revisado: 03-06-20
I found this book chock full of helpful tactics to use if you are truly committed to carving out some indestructible time for yourself. It also helped me to become more aware of just how many distractions we face each and every day - it can be truly overwhelming. It was kind of an aha moment for myself - as in ‘now wonder it can be such a struggle to get things done’ - but awareness is always the first step.

Historia
Women get mixed messages about how to succeed at work, and research shows that much of the career advice aimed at men doesn't even work for women. We’re left wondering: How do you say no without being labeled difficult? How do you get paid what you’re worth? Should you go for that next big promotion, even though it’ll impact your family? Known for being 2018’s most-booked female speaker in the world and now a nationally-syndicated talk show host, Mel Robbins answers these questions and more with research-based strategies that you can put into action immediately.

This is truly a life changing book if you take the time to put this information to use in your life. It’s presented in a straight forward way that is easy to relate to. The material is practical and insightful, I suspect I’ll need to re-listen to it as a reminder to myself from time to time in the future!
