I loved this book! It was a story I would listen to again! The narration was great, I love Corvin King’s voice. The story was different which in the age of booktok is hard to deliver and still be a good book. I do wish we had more backstory for everyone. Everything was touched on but I think this specific story could’ve benefited from actual flash back memories from the guys to give us a deeper understanding of their minds and emotions! I thought the author did a great job with the main female character’s reactions and responses to everything around her considering all she had been through… she possessed a realistic strength and growth throughout the book. I will say there were touches of the paranormal in this book that personally I would’ve liked to see more developed. It would’ve really fit with the whole vibe of this book!
The spicy scenes were so good… although I will say I saw in a few reviews that this was a mmfm but it was actually a mfmm. No sword crossing. I personally love a good mmfm polyamorous relationship but I really liked how this relationship was done with the characters.
I am definitely gonna look for more books from this author and the narrators. So all things considered this was a 5 star read for me! I recommend this to anyone who’s looking for something a bit dark and romantic with a pretty decent plot. It’s a great read for cozy, creepy fall time!

An Awesome Ride……that’s not over!!!

I loved the Emerald Lake series. I loved the concept, the characters, and the steam. I couldn’t wait to learn about these Demons after they made such a mysterious and dramatic appearance in the final book. I am completely in love with these characters! I’m only on book one with a hell of a cliffhanger and I’m obsessed! I keep checking and rechecking the release date for the second book, “Demons in my Head.” I’m so excited and nervous about where the stories gonna lead us! But mostly I’m just completely invested! As you should be with any good book!!

I really enjoyed this book! I adore the characters, they have depth, growth, and distinct personalities. I only have two complaints to share. The first is they didn’t wrap up what happened between Arrow and the Character of Janet. I would’ve liked to have that “confrontational” moment. The second is a very minor complaint but something that I believe would’ve added to the performance. Where is Sebastian York? I believe he speaks once, maybe twice in the entire book. I adore his voice for the alpha male type characters, and I was hoping for more. However Eva Christensen did a wonderful job with all the characters! I would recommend this book to MC romance lovers!
