Fun story, boring reader

The story could have been so much better if I had read it, I think. The male reader read the story in a monotone, most of the time. I think he was reaching for sexy and confident, but ended up expressing boredom. He also, at times, rushed through the reading of his inner thoughts without giving the words the correct emotional expression they should have been delivered with, for impact. So I found myself skipping through the story to avoid those parts too.

Slow sweet story about childhood friendship slooowly blossoming into love. Couple of hiccups but they really do not grow into anything significant. Lots of worrying, "almost" moments and repeated thoughts.

This story pulls you in from the beginning and keeps moving. The ending was predictable but it didn't diminish the journey. I wish there was a way to build on this story but with different characters.
