Great story
Revisado: 04-03-25
This story is shocking. Cece is clearly mentally ill. How different her children's lives would have been had their mother received the care she clearly needed. Thanks to Ronan Farrow for shining a light on this ugly woman.

Really awful.
Revisado: 04-01-25
I am done with Audible's selection of thrillers, this one being part of a long line of truly awful books.

Historia
A young woman's body is discovered on a deserted footpath. It seems like a simple crime for DCI Sophie Allen and her team to solve. But not when the victim's mother is found strangled the next morning. The case grows more complex as DCI Sophie Allen discovers that the victims had secret histories, involving violence and intimidation. There's an obvious suspect, but Detective Allen isn't convinced. Could someone else be lurking in the shadows, someone savagely violent, looking for warped revenge?

That dreadful Australian accent ...
Revisado: 03-28-25
This might have been an ok book in print, but I skipped through this because of the narrator. Hard to believe she's a member of Sag-Aftra.

Gut wrenching!
Revisado: 08-07-24
Highly recommend! Such a believable story line, with fully developed characters, sensitively portrayed. I had the wrong culprit(s) for most of the book, and the unveiling of the actual culprit knocked me for six. The ending was harrowing, and ... I can't believe it's over! More!

Historia
Since its original publication by Little, Brown and Company, in 1942, Edith Hamilton's Mythology has sold millions of copies throughout the world and established itself as a perennial best-seller in its various available formats. Mythology succeeds like no other audiobook in bringing to life for the modern listener the Greek, Roman, and Norse myths and legends that are the keystone of Western culture - the stories of gods and heroes that have inspired human creativity from antiquity to the present.

Very entertaining as well as educational!

I just wish she talked about more myths and was more in-depth. I felt like she would often skip past major details, but overall, it was amazing, and I plan to read it again and again!
