Historia
Producing an immersive audiobook experience (with narration, actors, music, and sound effects), Seth Andrews has drawn upon his decades-long experience as a broadcaster and storyteller to conjure an eerie otherworld of ghosts, spirits, devils, and supernatural beasts. A mix of original tales and popular urban legends, these 14 freestanding chapters favor ghouls over gore, providing easily digestible vignettes of supernatural fiction, ghostly lore, and creepy fun for anyone who has ever enjoyed a scary film, haunted house, or Halloween campfire story.

I'm so glad I got this in audio!

Seth has the perfect voice for these stories! His co-narrators were great, too. The little extras really added to the spookiness.

Historia
Nick Russo has worked his way from a rough Brooklyn neighborhood to a reporting job at one of the city’s biggest newspapers. But the late 1950s are a hostile time for gay men, and Nick knows that he can’t let anyone into his life. He just never counted on meeting someone as impossible to say no to as Andy. Andy Fleming’s newspaper-tycoon father wants him to take over the family business. Andy, though, has no intention of running the paper. He’s barely able to run his life.

Cat Sebastian and Joel Leslie are a perfect combo and insta buy for me. This title is no different. The author and narrator both outdid themselves.

Historia
Ravaged by a horrific experience, Oliver Webb flees the smog-bound city of Greynox for a quiet seaside village and the inheritance he’s never seen: a cottage called Farview. He discovers clear skies, friendly imps, and a charming storyteller named Felix Corbyn. With help from Felix’s tales, Oliver learns surprising secrets about his family history and discovers what home really means. But, with Felix cursed, Oliver growing deathly ill, and an obligation in Greynox hanging heavy around his neck, it seems that not even wizards can save the day.

Loved it!

Farview is set in the same world as the novella, Treasure, but can be read as a standalone. A lovely story with charming characters and all the feels - beautifully told and brilliantly narrated! It was such a treat to revisit the magical little seaside village of Croftwell. And the epilogue ... so perfect.

Historia
Every bartender should follow one simple rule—don't go home with the customers. That’s been easy for me to stick to, until the night a cocky, confident, and sinfully charming hockey star walks into my bar. This sexy athlete is too hard to resist, especially when he makes it clear how much he wants the “sarcastic, witty, hot AF” guy behind the bar—also known as me.

Reads like an M/F
Revisado: 09-04-20
This review is by Mike's wife:
I'll start out by saying that I enjoyed the performances by Joe Arden and Shane East. They did a great job with what they were given and worked well together. If it wasn't' for their performance, this would have been a DNF for me. I could have done without the rest of the cast, but they didn't detract from the performance, I just didn't think they were necessary.
This is my first Lauren Blakely book and I liked the premise, but as far as the writing goes, it really isn't my style. There didn't seem to be a lot of depth to the characters, so it was difficult for me to build an emotional connection.
Also, this reads like an M/F, and Dean seems to be the placeholder for the F in this story. I read a lot of M/M and prefer to read authors that honor Own Voices. Sadly, I didn't see any of that in this book.
Another complaint is that there is a lot of repetitive smex scenes that seem to be filler and don't move the plot forward, During which there's an overuse of the words f**K and balls in place of meaningful dialogue. Perhaps the author thought it would make it sound more like M/M instead of M/F? Not so for me.
I know a lot of reviewers enjoyed it, but it didn't work for me.
