Historia
Zeke Armstrong never imagined he'd be back in Vermont, but here he is, living in Colebury and trying to rehab an injury that could mean an early retirement from pro basketball. Running into his former classmate, Mallory Barrett, shouldn't be a distraction. It shouldn't mean anything, so why is he accidentally on purpose showing up at the coffee shop where the beautiful writer spends her time?

Ugggg....Terrible!
Revisado: 11-04-24
I love women with confidence and a little attitude but this went overboard. I finally called this one quits mid-story. The main character was rude, unforgiving and just all together bitter. It's been a while since I quit reading a book because the main character was so ill-natured. I couldn't even root for the main male character to like her so I was not going to invest anymore time on this!

Historia
When Murphy Landon, the New York socialite, runs off to Vermont with her bruised reputation and stylish wardrobe in the trunk of a used car, it's the first time in her life she's dared to turn her back on her high-society parents. Used to grabbing a gourmet coffee whenever the urge strikes, Murphy finds herself on the other side of the counter, fumbling strangers' orders...until a sinfully handsome 33-year-old version of Ben Rooney from high school walks in.

Not a fan!
Revisado: 10-31-24
I have enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one was a struggle. The main female character was boring. She was weak and I couldn't even root for her. I thought it might get better...but no such luck! The author wrote it in such a way that the struggle of the couple was repetitive and it seemed like she just kept going back to it over and over with no convincing resolution. Even at the end of the book I still wasn't convinced Murphy had truly changed and wouldn't do the same thing again. I just keep screaming in my head for Ben to run! I made a note of the author and will avoid her books in future. It was so bad I wouldn't even give her another chance to redeem herself. This book was absolutely mind-numbing!

Historia
Every woman in Millie Delacroix's family is cursed - kind of. Birth control just doesn't work for them. Like ever. Going to the altar knocked up is pretty much a family tradition. And 24-year-old Millie refuses to let that happen to her - again. Especially now that she's responsible for raising her brothers and sister. A life of celibacy is her best defense - at least until the kids are grown and can take care of themselves. And, really, what's 10 years with no sex? No men. No sex. No love. It's a fool-proof plan. Until she meets Luc Valencia.

The author had a good storyline but narration was awful!
Revisado: 09-17-24
The story was actually good but sometimes I wonder if the authors have any input on who narrates their books. If they do why do they pick them? The male narrator wasn't bad but the female narrator was so robotic in her reading it made it hard to listen to it at times. I won't even listen to a book narrated by virtual voice anymore and this wasn't much better.

Historia
Best friends Hero and Sunday are holidaying in New York when Sunday persuades the normally conservative Hero to don a siren-red wig and the persona of Lola, a do-anything-anywhere-anytime trapeze artist. Disguised as Lola, Hero crosses paths - and a whole lot more - with gorgeous Oscar. Sparks fly, but Hero can't admit to Oscar that she's not who he thinks she is.

Not impressed, these characters needed counseling not love!
Revisado: 08-05-24
I have been a fan of this author and downloaded quite a few stories but I was unimpressed by this one. The main female character (Hero) was so haughty and unlikeable at times. I think the goal may have been to make her want a different life than what she grew up with but she just came across as angry and unkind at times. I like to feel a connection of some type with the characters but this was impossible. There was no humor. I made it to the end in hope that it would get better but it really didn't. I really kept screaming in my mind for the main male character (Oscar) to run for his life! Instead of wanting them to end up together I wanted to get them some counseling.

I don't even know where to start....but I personally wouldn't waste your time!
Revisado: 02-03-24
This was such a difficult listen. The performance was good but the story was awful. The main character Lily was weak and had no backbone and I had a difficult time rooting for her because she was so pathetic and whiny at moments. I really don't even know if I would give this author another chance because even up to the next to the last chapter I found myself screaming for the main character to open her eyes and have some pride. The author could have done so much more with this storyline. Not one I recommend!
