Terrible Narration
Revisado: 08-30-23
Narrator continually put her emphasis on oddly random words, rather than ideas. It was distracting and annoying.

It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God? Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.

Loved the fun story
Revisado: 10-22-19
I loved the bright, up beat, funny story. It may not have been particularly realistic, but it was delightful and entertaining and a very welcome break from grim national news.

Historia
London, 2019. Life has been easy for Maxim Trevelyan. With his good looks, aristocratic connections, and money, he’s never had to work, and he’s rarely slept alone. But all that changes when tragedy strikes and Maxim inherits his family’s noble title, wealth, and estates, and all the responsibility that entails. It’s a role he’s not prepared for and one that he struggles to face. But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past.

A very enjoyable read
Revisado: 04-21-19
I loved the story and hope E.L. James writes a sequel (or two). l want to find out what else happens to Max and Alyssia, and to Tom and Henrietta, and why Kit was speeding on that icy road.

Historia
Recently engaged and deeply ensconced in her third year of surgical residency in Chicago, Emily Hartford gets a shock when she is called home to Freeport, Michigan, the small town she fled a decade ago after the death of her mother. Her estranged father, the local medical examiner, has had a massive heart attack. At the hospital, she finds her father in near total denial of the seriousness of his condition. He insists that the best thing Emily can do to help him is to take on the autopsy of a senator's teen daughter whose sudden, unexplained death has just rocked the sleepy town.

Cheated

The author stopped writing without completing the story. It left me feeling cheated out of the last chapter. I will never buy another book by that author.

Historia
She was already well-known in some circles before March 6, 2018, but that's probably the first time you heard the name Stormy Daniels. That's the day she filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump over a nondisclosure agreement negotiated before the election but never signed. How did Stormy Daniels become the woman willing to take on a president? What is it like to be reviled by some, held up as a beacon of hope by others, and to be an object of fascination to all? In this audiobook, Stormy Daniels tells her whole story for the first time....

The Truth Told by a Very Brave Lady
Revisado: 10-14-18
The truth may set you free, but the telling of it can and often does cost you most of, if not everything you hold dear. Women, and men too, who speak truth to power are incredibly brave and deserve our undying respect, support, and gratitude. I believe Stormy. Her story is enlightening, and she tells it with unflinching candor, directness, humor (often self deprecating), and kindness.
The book is well written, thoroughly engaging, and you will not be disappointed.

Historia
Allie Whitewater was used to living between two worlds. She embraced the Native American heritage of her father and the white heritage of her mother. She was happy with both and didn't have the identity crisis many of her friends had. Growing up on a large working ranch in Montana, she had no desire to live in town, or worse, a large city. She planned on spending the rest of her life on the ranch her father started.

I loved the first half of the book. Unfortunately there is a technical glitch and the book will not play the last couple of hours ... it's as if they were simply never recorded. Bummer!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a wonderful, happy, loving little book. It conveys a positive, healthy message to our children. It is completely devoid of the ugliness and the mean spiritedness that currently infects much of our culture and from which most of us wish to protect our children.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Ladies' Room to be better than the print version?
Yes. I loved the story, the characters, and the narration ... they were a perfect match. The only problem was that the story had to end ... it felt like leaving good friends. Wished this book was part of a series.
