Historia
The Tanith First have been pulled back from the front line and are enjoying some well-deserved rest – but that is about to end. An enemy prisoner – one of the deadly Blood Pact – wants to betray his masters, but he will only talk to Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt. Can he be trusted, and what exactly does he know? Gaunt must discover the truth and avert a deadly threat to both his own life and to the Sabbat Worlds Crusade itself.

Exciting, beautiful, bittersweet

This book is an excellent example of Dan Abnet's breath as an author. The ending was excellent, and the book kept in engaged, start to finish

Historia
Terra is besieged. The outcome of the war lies on a knife edge. The Warmaster Horus’ bloody seven-year crusade has led to this – the cradle of humanity, where he is to kill his father, the Emperor. With the war at this critical juncture, Sanguinius, primarch of the loyalist Blood Angels, braves the horrors of the Warmaster’s flagship, The Vengeful Spirit, with a single purpose in mind – to slay his brother Horus, decapitate the Heresy once and for all, and stop the forces of Chaos from taking Terra.

As satisfying as you would expect
Revisado: 01-08-24
This is far from Dan Abnet's best work, but there is a reason that he is weirdly regarded af the best 40k writer, even when he does mediocre work, is just great.
The book repeats itself a lot, and it does hammer home the same point a lot, but in my view, this can be forgiven, considering how over the top everything is at this point in the story.

Historia
In the void and upon the worlds of Greater Ultramar, the battle for the Imperium continues. Intent on rebuilding his home realm and using it as a base to reconstruct the ravaged stellar empire of mankind, the returned primarch, Roboute Guilliman, proceeds with his war to drive Mortarion and his Death Guard Traitor Legion from the domain of the Ultramarines. But when Guilliman brings his brother to battle upon the diseased plains of Parmenio, the intervention of a greater power in their fraternal struggle threatens to upend the Imperial Regent’s understanding of the galaxy.

Historia
Keats accused Newton of destroying the poetry of the rainbow by explaining the origin of its colours. In this illuminating and provocative book, Richard Dawkins argues that Keats could not have been more mistaken and shows how an understanding of science enhances our wonder of the world. He argues that mysteries do not lose their poetry because they are solved: the solution is often more beautiful than the puzzle, uncovering even deeper mysteries.

Revisado: 12-25-21
The book is beautiful and a clear view into Richard Dawkins love of science, just at it says on the box. but to a listener whom is well versed in his bibliography, you will hear a lot that you have heard before, although with plenty of new angles

Historia
Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor and his retinue are believed dead, and with shadowy forces moving against them, they'd like to keep it that way. Returning to the planet Eustis Majoris, they go undercover, investigating a brutal ring of smugglers moving stolen arcane technology within the Imperium. As they descend deeper into the organisation, it becomes clear that a terrible plot is unravelling. The ancient machines contain the unthinkable, and Ravenor must summon all of his wits to thwart the conspirators before the ultimate secrets of Chaos itself are laid bare!

Historia
We live in a time of unprecedented upheaval, when technology and so-called progress have made us richer but more uncertain than ever before. We have questions about the future, society, work, happiness, family and money, and yet no political party of the right or left is providing us with answers. So, too, does the time seem to be coming to an end when we looked to economists to help us define the qualities necessary to create a successful society. We need a new movement.

It presents mind-blowing concepts and elegantly leads you through its reasoning and its evidence. I can only recommend it.

Historia
One hundred thousand years ago, at least six human species inhabited the Earth. Today there is just one. Us. Homo sapiens. How did our species succeed in the battle for dominance? Why did our foraging ancestors come together to create cities and kingdoms? How did we come to believe in gods, nations, and human rights; to trust money, books, and laws; and to be enslaved by bureaucracy, timetables, and consumerism?

The book gave me something new to think about inn almost every captor. In a few instances it did get a little preachy, but never too much, and always well reasoned.
