Historia
“What does she want from me?” A young Iranian immigrant panics as she’s being chased through the streets by an unknown blonde woman. When their two worlds collide, the answer to that question becomes increasingly unsettling in Afsaneh Gray’s The Other Woman, a bracingly unpredictable audio experience. The two women find they share similar struggles in a society that doesn’t see them…but as their relationship develops, what feels like liberation begins to shift into an all-too-familiar dynamic.

sound effects are strangely placed and really gorey and dramatic and out of place. it's very distracting from the story

Historia
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. But Calaena is far from loyal to the crown. Keeping up the charade - while pretending to do the king's bidding - will test her skills in an entirely new way. And it certainly isn't the only point of confusion for the young girl. Because though she's made her choice between Dorian and Chaol, the ways of the heart are never simple...

The 1st was more consistent

I loved the first book I finished it in one night. the second had more modern swear words throughout and she exhibited behavior that made no sense when considering her natural personality traits/ did and said things that weren't true to her usual character and it was crazy obvious and frustrating. story is interesting and creative. I'm still buying the next book now.
