Historia
Kiva thought she knew what she wanted—revenge. But feelings change, people change . . . everything has changed. After what happened at the palace, Kiva is desperate to know if her friends and family are safe, and whether those she wronged can ever forgive her. But with the kingdoms closer to the brink of war than they’ve ever been, and Kiva far away from the conflict, more is at stake than her own broken heart.

High stakes adventure and characters that feel like family
Revisado: 02-22-25
This book healed what book 2 destroyed. I loved the continued character development of old characters and the introduction of new ones.

The shadows had a grip and I couldn’t put it down!

What a great trilogy. It is dark, quirky, with great world building, complex characters and lots of action.

Epic
Revisado: 08-09-24
The saga continues and I can’t wait until book 3. The characters continue to grow and develop and the danger keeps on coming. A lot of 2nd books are slow in trilogies, but that is NOT the case here. Great storyline and the narrator was wonderful as well.

Historia
Deborah Harkness first introduced the world to Diana Bishop, an Oxford scholar and witch, and vampire geneticist Matthew de Clermont in A Discovery of Witches. Drawn to each other despite long-standing taboos, these two otherworldly beings found themselves at the center of a battle for a lost, enchanted manuscript known as Ashmole 782. Since then, they have fallen in love, traveled to Elizabethan England, dissolved the Covenant between the three species, and awoken the dark powers within Diana’s family line.

A sequel that does not disappoint!
Revisado: 07-21-24
It was so nice to be reunited the with old characters and meet new ones in this new All Souls Sequel. Harkness’ weaving of story telling and historical detail is nothing short of magic. Jennifer Ikeda like always is fabulous.

Historia
"Happily Ever After" wasn't supposed to come with a do-over option. But when my husband of 20 years packs up and heads for greener pastures, and my son heads away to college, that's exactly what my midlife becomes. A do-over. This time, though, I plan to do things differently. Age is just a number, after all, and at 40 I'm ready to carve my own path. Eager for a fresh start, I make a somewhat unorthodox decision and move to a tiny town in the Sierra foothills.

Captivating & Funny
Revisado: 05-18-24
Little did I know when I started this book that I would be on the hook for the rest of the series. The characters are unique and I can’t remember the last time I’ve laughed this hard, probably looking somewhat crazy while grocery shopping.
The narrator, Nicole Poole, is BRILLIANT and one of the best narrators I’ve listed too. All around, this book and the series as a whole deserves every star!
