Historia
My name is Peter Grant and until January I was just probationary constable in that mighty army for justice known to all right-thinking people as the Metropolitan Police Service (as the Filth to everybody else). My only concerns in life were how to avoid a transfer to the Case Progression Unit - we do paperwork so real coppers don't have to - and finding a way to climb into the panties of the outrageously perky WPC Leslie May.

Brilliant book, brilliant narrator
Revisado: 02-12-18
Oh my goodness. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith's voice is incredible...warm and engaging - an aural equivalent of hot chocolate with a good book and a purring cat. Simply wonderful.
The book is witty, intelligent, intriguing and fascinating. I could not stop listening, I just could not wait to see what happened next.

Supernatural Fan Anyone......
Revisado: 02-08-18
Wow. Okay. I love Supernatural (Winchester Brothers - TV series) but not enough to have it re-imagined for me in a 6.5, 340 pound self-confessed redneck. Seriously. The story line was so similar I was gobsmacked. Two brothers taught by their father to hunt monsters - with a monster hunting grandfather thrown in - even the use of the location of Lawrence, Kansas was in there. The one brother likes beer and women.... Sheesh. Also - the repetition of the main character's height and weight and the caliber and technical waffle of his handgun and shotgun are moot. WE GOT IT THE FIRST TIME! If this was all separate books I get why you need to let us know, but its one whole piece! In short if you like waffle narrated well, this is the book for you

Historia
Duke and Earl are just passing through Rockwood county in their pick-up truck when they stop at the Diner for a quick bite to eat. They aren't planning to stick around-until Loretta, the eatery's owner, offers them $100 to take care of her zombie problem. Given that Duke is a werewolf and Earl's a vampire, this looks right up their alley. But the shambling dead are just the tip of a particularly spiky iceberg.

Laugh out loud, yet quite dramatic, just brilliant
Revisado: 01-26-18
If you could sum up Gil's All Fright Diner in three words, what would they be?
This was an absolute gem of a book. Funny, clever, sarcastic, quite suspense -filled and oh so highly entertaining. Listened to it in almost one sitting - had to find out what happens next! Fred Berman is wonderful. He brings the characters to life without making them all sound the same.
What other book might you compare Gil's All Fright Diner to and why?
White Trash Zombie series - engaging characters with unrealistic lives that are somehow so easy to relate to.
Which character – as performed by Fred Berman – was your favorite?
I was delighted by the undertaker, Red. The voice for Duke was great too
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely

Historia
Angel Crawford is finally starting to get used to life as a brain-eating zombie, but her problems are far from over. Her felony record is coming back to haunt her, more zombie hunters are popping up, and she’s beginning to wonder if her hunky cop-boyfriend is involved with the zombie mafia. Yeah, that’s right—the zombie mafia. Throw in a secret lab and a lot of conspiracy, and Angel’s going to need all of her brainpower—and maybe a brain smoothie as well—in order to get through it without falling apart.

Made me laugh out loud
Any additional comments?
Fabulous continuity between books, steady stories.
