Slow start but ok
Revisado: 08-22-24
Too much preparation...does not get to the actual crime and investigation until the middle. I was not find of the characters, but that is more of a personal preference...they do match the title. Still overall not too bad. Performance is very good.

Historia
England, 1920. Eleanor Swift has spent the last few years travelling the world: taking tea in China, tasting alligators in Peru, escaping bandits in Persia and she has just arrived in England after a chaotic 45-day flight from South Africa. Chipstone is about the sleepiest town you could have the misfortune to meet. But then, from the edge of a quarry, through the driving rain, Eleanor is shocked to see a man shot and killed in the distance. Before she can climb down to the spot, the villain is gone and the body has vanished.

Historia
Agatha Raisin is bored. Her detective agency in the Cotswolds is thriving, but she'll scream if she has to deal with another missing cat or dog. Only two things seem to offer potential excitement: Christmas and her ex, James Lacey. This year Agatha is sure that if she invites James to a splendid Christmas dinner, their love will rekindle like a warm Yule log. But that fantasy will have to wait for now.

Typical Agatha Raisin story, not as good narration
Revisado: 09-11-21
This is a typical Agatha Raisin story; if you like the series you will likely enjoy this one. However, the narration is not as good as the ones by Penelope Keith. She does not have much variation between the characters, so it is sometimes hard to tell which character is talking. Not terrible, but now as good as Penelope.
