Historia
In 2019, author John Green met Henry Reider, a young tuberculosis patient at Lakka Government Hospital in Sierra Leone. John became fast friends with Henry, a boy with spindly legs and a big, goofy smile. In the years since that first visit to Lakka, Green has become a vocal advocate for increased access to treatment and wider awareness of the healthcare inequities that allow this curable, preventable infectious disease to also be the deadliest, killing over a million people every year. In Everything Is Tuberculosis, John tells Henry’s story.

John Green Does It Again
Revisado: 03-25-25
John Green managed to increase both my knowledge and capacity for empathy yet again with this work. I enjoy his works of fiction, but The Anthropocene Reviewed is my favorite. This book is a very close second. I think it should be required reading for all.

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Christopher Andersen comes a vivid and unsparing yet sympathetic portrait of one of the most complex and enigmatic figures of our time: Charles, who has taken his place on the throne after being the oldest and longest-serving heir in British history.

Great read for a purely decadent look at the life of King Charles

I had no idea what to expect, but this book did not disappoint! It read like an intriguing fiction novel.

I give “The Anthropocene Reviewed” Five Stars.

As a white, middle class Midwesterner born in 1977 I feel I am a bit too biased to write a fair review, but I loved this book. I loved every essay. Each one brought a catch in my throat and a smile to my lips. My 9 year old son wanted to listen to it with me while I drove him to and from school. His review went like this, “I like this guy, but why is he so depressed about everything?” I guess you have to be depressed to truly appreciate radicalness of hope.
