Popcorn story

This doesn't try to pretend to be anything other than a monster story. Fairly obvious, predictable storyline and characters were mostly one-dimensional. Still fun to just get lost in it for a few hours.

The narration was top notch though. The sound effects took a moment to get used to, since most books don't have them. However once you get used to them, they do add another level to the story. Well done.

This was a relatively short, fun story. The flirtatious nature between the two was well written and very realistic.

Good, but not my thing

I can appreciate what the author was trying to do, and it seems like it's a good story, just not as much my thing as I'd thought. I'd been expecting something almost like a low-level superhero and this wasn't it. Good for what it was, with good narration just not what was expected.

As an American I never had to deal with the Video Nasties, but I had the D&D, Music, and Video Game panics of the 80's and 90's to deal with here so this was something I could connect with. very well. It was interesting to see how other countries deal with such panics.

This is a different, and interesting take on super hero worlds. I really enjoyed it. One family is powerful, and humanity tries to emulate them. Well done.

Good story, low quality narration

This is a wonderfully compelling true story. The biggest downside though is the narration. It seems like it was done with minimal audio editing/prep. The reader stumbles several times, correcting her words. It feels like sitting around at home and having the story told. Perhaps that's the feeling that was tried for, but given what is my typical listen (High production audio) it was jarring.

The story leaves me wanting more though. What happened after the end? there's some hints in the epilogue, and it's a clean ending just very compelling and it drew me in.

Not a stand alone story

I somehow missed this was the third book in a series. While it was enjoyable, with a wonderful performance, I was quite lost, having missed the first 2 books. It was a good story but with lots of missing pieces, that would probably have been even better if I'd consumed the first two books as well.

I really enjoyed this story. Great characters, plot and timing, along with a great narration make it a joy to listen to and I want to revisit this universe.

Hard to follow

This was an interesting, deep science, science fiction book that was a bit difficult for me to follow. I enjoyed it but a few times got lost/confused as to which characters were doing what and why. Still very enjoyable, I just had to go back and re-listen in a few spots.

Wonderful take on future sports

This is a fun, summer movie type book that considers sports once humans get to space. As a martial artist in present day the differences intrigued and fascinated me. Well written and narrated story that I really enjoyed with good character development and world building.
