Historia
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

Unnecessary additions and weak arguments
Revisado: 02-10-25
Without spoiling anything, there seems to be things added in that have no relevance to the story. You seem to have characters repeating the same mistake over and over. You have surprisingly weak arguments from the smartest people.
That being said, this insanely long book has a few good parts with a satisfying end.

Historia
How did compliant colonials with strong ties to Europe get the notion to become an independent nation? Perhaps the seeds of liberty were planted in the 1735 historic courtroom battle for the freedom of the press. Or maybe the French and Indian War did it, when colonists were called "Americans" for the first time by the English, and the great English army proved itself not so formidable after all.

entertaining with some bias cpmmentary.
Revisado: 02-08-21
Some stories about various people during that time period which is interesting and gives some insight in what the people were like during the time. But these stories are superficial and merely gives you a taste and in the long run tells you nothing about the person but that brief moment commented about.
The author's bias pops up from time to time, trying to connect today's morals and social norms to the past. The bias I assume will be there but not at the cost of the actual history. I was hoping more for the arguements of the individual states on forming the United States rather than this person believed in female rights and this one secretly freed his slaves.

Historia
This explosive new audiobook challenges many of the long-held assumptions about blacks, about Jews, about Germans and Nazis, about slavery, and about education. Plainly written, powerfully reasoned, and backed with a startling array of documented facts, Black Rednecks and White Liberals takes on the trendy intellectuals of our times as well as historic interpreters of American life.

interesting content
Revisado: 12-08-20
overall an interesting listen, a bit misleading or perhaps I just didn't look hard enough. This a multitude of essays that are thrown together (Not in a bad way) , wasn't really expecting that which is why 3 stars for story.
