Historia
During the Upheaval, city after city fell to the Enillo Virus, filling the streets with ravenous ghouls. Not even the countryside was spared, as millions of the undead flowed over the land. From the mountains of Appalachia to the beaches of the Atlantic, the East Coast was dead. Two groups must enter this nightmare. On one side is John Talon and his small crew, desperate to secure the foundation of a new country. On the other side is Major Thorton, bent on the destruction of the soul of the nation.

Historia
For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

Historia
United we stand, divided we fall. Once again reunited, the Lucky 13 set out to hunt down their adversaries - only to be met with an entirely new set of unexpected obstacles. As much as Bree is burning to finally get her revenge, it soon becomes obvious that on their own they are no match for the forces opposing them. With giving up not an option, they will have to find a way to bolster their numbers - or failing that, make the ultimate sacrifice.

Tedious
Revisado: 08-03-17
I have enjoyed this series up to this book. The main characters continual fighting (snarking and snorting) is dull in the extreme. The series seems to have lost its way and is padding out for another book. The pseudo conspiracy background theme is just silly. I could not fininsh this book as it was juts more of the same and pretty boring, a shame as the series started out pretty well.

Historia
America is in the thrall of a full-scale socioeconomic breakdown. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation destroys the value of the dollar, and the population, unprepared for hardship, panics. Practically overnight, the high technology infrastructure and chains of supply collapse and wholesale rioting and looting grip every city. Law enforcement, transportation, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies are all in the past now, as the country staggers beneath its own weight.

very dull
Revisado: 01-07-15
this is not really a piece of fiction but rather a "prepper how to" set of instructions delivered in a very dull manner.
There is zero drama or meaningful character development.

This was a poor ending to a great 'series' Feist keeps writing the same book over and over juts changing the characters names.
His explantion of 'stuff' and extra dimensions et. al. and the uber enemy in this book is purile, tedious rubbish.I groaned every time he went on to have his characters try to explain physic 101 in terms of 'stuff' silly silly silly....
A real shame as i would place the 1st there books in the magaican series in my top 10 favourite books

Historia
From Snuff: Vimes looked at the cover. The title was The World of Poo. When his wife was out of eyeshot he carefully leafed through it. Well, okay, you had to accept that the world had moved on and these days’ fairy stories were probably not going to be about twinkly little things with wings. As he turned page after page, it dawned on him that whomever had written this book, they certainly knew what would make kids like Young Sam laugh until they were nearly sick. The bit about sailing down the river almost made him smile.

In Wyrd Sisters, the enchanting world of Discworld is turned upside down by three meddling witches: Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat Garlick. Their interference in royal politics causes kingdoms to wobble, crowns to topple, knives to flash and citizens to shudder in fear. Terry Pratchett's vividly imaginative story takes you on a journey with hunchbacked monarchs, lost crowns, disguised heirs, refuelling broomsticks and frightening thunderstorms, as the three sisters battle the odds to restore the rightful king to the throne.

Not Bad
Revisado: 07-14-11
Im a big fan of easy reading zombie fiction. This book is not bad and as others have pointed out its rather a mix of 28days meets platoon. Lots of action and tight story telling. One minor but nagging issue i have is the authors insistence on making the book sounds like a boys own war story. He writes like he has read too many of those war comics i used to read a a child. His constant references to military tactics and equipment left me some what annoyed rather than adding to the imagery of the story. Unfortunately many of his references are blatantly incorrect and his use to military terms and descriptions is equipment are often wrong. Again a small point but as the military units progress through the city is the main focus of the book he perhaps should have paid more attention to this aspect.

Historia
Space is a world devoid of the things we need to live and thrive: air, gravity, hot showers, fresh produce, privacy, beer. Space exploration is in some ways an exploration of what it means to be human. How much can a person give up? How much weirdness can they take? What happens to you when you can’t walk for a year? Have sex? Smell flowers? What happens if you vomit in your helmet during a space walk? Is it possible for the human body to survive a bailout at 17,000 miles per hour?

Title is missleading
Revisado: 11-05-10
This is a very interesting book, but nothing to do with preparing go to mars at all, it is all about space travel in general. I was hoping for some specific challenges associated with a mars mission.
Also the author spends too much time on the absolute miniature of some of the more dull aspects of specetravel. We'll yes thats the point of the book but some snappier editing would have been appreciated
