What a way to end the trilogy

Lowell is Insufferable.

Lowell is the most selfish, hypocritical, childish male protagonist I’ve ever listened to. I understand that there is a population of women who like to be the top and care for their male bottom and call them “good boy” and see their childish behaviors as adorable, and maybe it’s just not for me. But ultimately I could not finish this, even after hanging on to get to the spice to see if things changed. I really wanted to love this book, especially since I identify and relate to the fertility storyline, but god I couldn’t stand Lowell.

I loved the uniqueness and originality of this entire storyline. The only complaint I had was at times the spicey scenes didn’t always feel like they fit within the scene it happened, but the spice was good so it really is hard to complain about.

Why is this book not talked about enough?!

I will be honest with myself and say for a monster-smut lover I am pretty picky and have pretty high standards when it comes to which books I love and which are just meh.

I had never heard of this book before giving it a try and I CANNOT express enough how many boxes this checked off for me!

✅ Spice that wasn’t cringey and was actually hot
✅ Interesting and unique plot that I have never heard before
✅ Character development that doesn’t make me roll my eyes
✅ Bad guys that are actually bad and are not empty threats

10/10, no notes, will definitely be listening to this one again and again

I cannot state this enough— SO much better than I prepared myself for it to be. I am floored by how good this was, from the world building, characters, and the spice. The SPICE.

This is a must-listen for anyone who is a fan of alien-language separation-unfamiliar world romances. 10/10 recommend!

Definitely cuter and more enjoyable than I thought it would be. It’s a Minotaur milking romance— if you’re looking for a hefty plot and character depth you’re probably in the wrong place. Great easy listen

All in all, I enjoyed this one much more than I thought I would! If I had to nitpick the only thing I’d wish for is less intensive world building (to the point of answering every question the earthling had about the alien culture to ever pop up in her head) and a bit more time with her and Theo. Aside from that, solid book

Came for the Sequel, stayed for the narrators

I have listened to Gargoyles probably 60 times in the past year. Unfortunately I am not sure that I will do the same with this one, I wished there was a more definitive conflict that was a bit more suspenseful but all in all I loved the spicy scenes and the narrators were chefs kiss!
