I truly enjoyed the 4 stories

The plots were very good, the action scenes were great. There is mystery danger intrigue and steamy sex scenes.
The characters were well developed with one story flowing into the next with appropriate backstory inserts for the different characters.
My only complaint is that the narrator's voice would get a little too whispery in some places and it, in my opinion, distracted from the characters. Other than that it was a great read that I highly recommend.

The characters are well developed, thought out and I enjoyed all the plots. There is no lack of excitement and when the going gets tough, the "small delicate" earth women kick butt and take names!

This story completely blew me away. I absolutely loved the character development, the detailed the orderly occurrence of the flashbacks, it was excellent!
The raw honesty of the urban struggle for young black people was handled truthfully and with clarity, blending seamlessly with supernatural aspect. It is extremely well written and the language, while more than I prefer, was true to the characters and where they are in their life situations.
I sincerely hope there's going to be a second book because I am dying to know more about Malik and his crew. They have just gotten started; I'm ready for the ride!

As usual Ms. Feehan produced an engaging, suspenseful and redemptive experience. Although Zellie worked my nerves a few times with her incessant self- denigrating attitude, she hung tight when it counted.
I missed Jim Frangione's voice but Ryan West did a great job.

I really enjoy the story, the plot and the beginning character development. The only drawback is the narrator. He's a little too slow and melodic. The change of voice for characters is good, but he lacks the ...umph or excitement during the tense scenes. I will complete the trilogy because I want to know how it ends, I just wish he had more zing.

I throughly enjoyed this story and could relate to Rita in so many ways. I loved the character development and the obvious learning curve for all those involved. I look forward to book 2.

The Dynamic Duo does it again. Feehan's creative genius and Frangione's incrediable voice NEVER disappoint.
Mine wraps up the events in the first two books in a gut clinching explosive bow.
Hex is out of the BDB after her collapsed Grid sends her on a killing spree she can't remember. Her only hope is her brother Blade, whom she despises.
Blade wrestles with how to help Hex and keep Lydia for himself after Daniel dies; unless he saves him.
CP gives Gus the rights to Vita-12b making him a target for a ruthless enemy.
Daniel is determined to go out fighting for Gus while Lydia is desperate to spend every second they have left together.
And it all comes down to who has enough strength of will to Survive.
