This is a story about two people, a teacher who is having an affair and a student who has been ostracized.
Revisado: 01-11-25
The female teacher in the story is married to a male teacher who is extremely handsome. The ostracized student connects with the male teacher. Spoiler alert, they end up having an affair. Story was entertaining and overall worth the read.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

This is a story about a time traveler who goes back to try to prevent the JFK killing.
Revisado: 01-11-25
Overall, I enjoyed this book significantly different than a lot of Stephen King’s work. Storyline is entertaining. It was interesting related to time travel, to realize that when you make one change in time, impacts several things that you don’t realize will be changed.. I thought King connected it pretty well and made it plausible.

Wow, and not in a good way!
Revisado: 01-11-25
This book had some promise at the beginning, but the story is so unbelievable., it was really tough to make it through the end.
The main lead character is part of a work group of girls who survived serial killers. They were all dysfunctional. The support group begins to be killed and the stories along finding out who the killer is. There were so many holes in the story and things that did not add up.

Missing Girl, town accuses the boyfriend
Revisado: 01-11-25
Overall, pretty good book. Good suspense and some twists and turns. Did struggle with the fact that the head of police is so unwilling to follow potential leads. However, that is what leads the boyfriend to do a search on his own.
Discovers the missing girl has been kidnapped spoiler alert, tough to believe that the girl had amnesia from just falling. And that it slowly comes back.

The perfect neighborhood can be the perfect place to hide… Who wouldn’t want to live in Brighton Hills? This exclusive community on the Oregon coast is the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty. Stunning houses nestle beneath mighty Douglas firs, and lush backyards roll down to the lakefront. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for one another. Sometimes a little too closely…

Slow Start, but by the end, could not stop listening
Revisado: 09-24-24
I really enjoyed the story, a lot of twist and turns in the way the characters in the story plot come together.
This is a story about an average neighborhood with a lot of secrets. The main female character you come to find out is being held captive by her husband, who is of course, a well-known judge.
He has ostracized her from her family and there’s no way out. One of the neighbors sons is killed on a hit-and-run, and that plays into the story.

I had no idea this was part of the Will Trent series. I recently watched the TV series and enjoyed it. If you have watched it, this is book 12, so not much in relation to the show, outside of the characters. Story line was good, crazy twist and turns.

I really liked this book, the story and characters development. This is a solid book, the individual that is found to be the criminal was a bit of a stretch and did not make total sense to me. Again, solid book and with the listen.

Very interesting story, but big plot hole
Revisado: 03-11-23
I really likes this book and it is a solid listen. However, there is one thing I could not get past. The girl goes missing, and her mom is obsessed with finding her, yet (disclaimer) she does not think to check with the tutor who was meeting with her daughter regularly for weeks before she disappeared? The book plays it off as the police said the girl ran away, but as a parents, she destroys her married and family over this, but does not ask anyone who her daughter came in contact with in the last few weeks leading up to her disappearance?

Very Graphic and Disturbing Story
Revisado: 11-17-22
I really liked this book, but must caution the material was very graphic including torture, mutilation, and rape.
The opening chapter I really struggled with, a couple goes out into an alley, where there are people that could see them, but then somehow they are accosted and robbed, and yet no one can see or here them. Also, completely unbelievable that a women in her 40’s is unable to scream for help as she is getting dragged away. Really struggled with much of the set up.
If you can get through that, the story gets much better. Again, warning about the graphic nature, but story was interesting and kept my interest.
