No plot, no purpose, no point.

The reviews I read about this book were positive so I bought it. It was a waste of time and credits. I listened to the entire thing waiting for the book to make sense, tell a story or at least get interesting. I honestly never figured out what the author was trying to do or say. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

What did you like best about this story?
It was a beautifully written period piece. The characters were an creative combination of the likable and not so likable. Even after the story is done, you still aren't sure exactly what the truth is.

There were a number of interesting plots lines that were teased as a reason for the crash. In the end, the actual reason for the crash was not nearly as interesting as some of the plot lines led me to believe. I was disappointed in the end.

What did you like best about The Silkworm? What did you like least?
I like the character of Cormoran Strike, but by the time we reached the "who done it" part, I was exhausted. There was too much bouncing among possible suspects and their various motives.
Have you listened to any of Robert Glenister’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
It was worth the listen, but would have been so much better with tighter editing.

I am probably the only person alive who read the book without realizing that J. K. Rowling was the author.

What made the experience of listening to Flight Behavior the most enjoyable?
Barbara Kingsolver is the absolute master of describing ordinary life in the face of extraordinary circumstances. A seemingly freak-of-nature occurrence as told by Kingsolver opens eyes to thoughtful consideration of our world and the delicate balance(s) in which we exist.
Any additional comments?
Kingsolver's writing is brilliant, well researched and poignant. For anyone who has not read her previous works including the Poisonwood Bible and a more recent nonfiction account of her family's' experiment in living close to nature go quickly and add them to your library.
