Historia
In recent years, Christians everywhere are rediscovering the Jewish roots of their faith. Every year at Easter time, many believers now celebrate Passover meals (known as Seders) seeking to understand exactly what happened at Jesus' final Passover, the night before he was crucified. Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist shines fresh light on the Last Supper by looking at it through Jewish eyes.

Old to New Testament
Revisado: 01-18-24
Wonderful book. It shows how the Old Testament points to the Eucharist being Jesus is body and blood. Not just Jesus‘s words in the New Testament.

Historia
In 1957, at 27 years old, Father Aloysius Schwartz of Washington, D.C. asked to be sent to one of the saddest places in the world: South Korea in the wake of the Korean War. Just a few months into his priesthood, he stepped off the train in Seoul into a dystopian film. Squatters with blank stares picked through hills of garbage. Paper-fleshed orphans lay on the streets like leftover war shrapnel. These scenes pierced him.

Great, modern day Saint
Revisado: 01-01-24
This book about vulnerable Fr. Al shows what a Saint is. Up there on par with Saint Theresa, mother of Calcutta.

I enjoyed the information, and that the stats were drawn not only from religious segments and authority figures, but also for secular groups and stats. I think that this book in the trilogy is the best one and the one that young adults and questioning people should listen to. With that said you have to listen to this book without prejudice and with an open mind.

How can you believe all this stuff? This is the number one question Catholics get asked - and, sometimes, we ask ourselves. Why We're Catholic assembles the clearest, friendliest, most helpful answers that Trent learned to give to people. Beginning with how we can know reality and ending with our hope of eternal life, it's the perfect way to help skeptics and seekers (or Catholics who want to firm up their faith) understand the evidence that bolsters our belief - and brings us joy.

Answered a lot of the concerns In the Catholic faith
Revisado: 01-03-20
I am Catholic but have often struggled explaining some of the biggest concerns to non-Catholics and atheists. But he answers many of these concerns in this brief book. He treats the issues head-on and reading this book is good for any non-Catholic or Catholics with questions

What an eye-opener
Revisado: 06-12-17
I learned so much good information reading this book. I no longer need to be quiet when somebody says the church is anti-science. Now that I know that the church built the foundation for so much that we take for granted today. Thank you for writing this book.
