Finally Thomas and Aiden story

I have been waiting for the story. Thomas secrets of why he adopted the baby psychopaths and turned them into executioner. Aiden backstory is just as traumatizing as the others but we learned how his dad dumped him at Thomas feet instead of being a dad. The usual humor from the other Mulvaneys is there along with Jericho boys. the boys meet Caliope in person. Thomas got someone who could love him.

Harlow was supposed to be this fabulous twink demon who has to woo his human mate, Bailey. Bailey is a very depressed, emotionally draining person who constantly rejects Harlow because "poor, pitiful me " complex. Bailey has no good quality as all he does is mope, whine, and reject Harlow over and over .There really is not a story other than Harlow trying to get Bailey to be open to a relationship. The first book was really good. very disappointed in this book.

What does Mark Westfield bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He changes his voice, octave, and other verbal mannerism so that I know who he is talking as. One of the few narrators that I love to see when I select an audible book.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved when Dex was asked to give some insight to his Therian partner and he tells the class of rookies of how Sloan put cat nip in his pockets before an exercise and he had 15 plus felid Therians run towards him. Moral of the story is that jaguar Therians will get you back.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have recommended this book to a friend because all of us Gen Xs love our 80s music just like Dex. Who would not want to cuddle up with a 6 ft 6 ft bad boy who can change into a shifter? The series has evolved and the humor and villains keep the story fresh. When I think I figure out Ash or Hudson, something in their past is revealed. I enjoy learning the layers of each member of group.
What other book might you compare Rack & Ruin to and why?
Assassin/Shifter series by Sandrine Gasq-Dion. It has horrible villians and funny heroes who have their own issues. The heroes are not "knights on white horses" , but they are human with weaknesses and insecurities.
Which character – as performed by Mark Westfield – was your favorite?
Ash
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
My favorite moment is when Maddox walks in on Calvin and Hobbes kissing in the hospital and Dex takes the heat for "daring them to lock lips".
