Family, the law and love find justice
Revisado: 05-17-24
The more of Mr. Dugoni’s books I read, the more I want to move into the worlds he creates. The characters are flawed and unique and matter. The plot is layered and twists and is bittersweet. And God, liberty and justice are there, through illness, through relationships, and through action. A little bit Legal thriller, a little bit who dunnit, a little bit love story all wrapped up in family and political drama - this book delivers a truly engaging and interesting read.

Unique love story
Revisado: 02-17-24
I loved that this book was like a person telling their story yet it was also, in large parts, a drama with multiple characters. Not your typical rock star romance - loved that it surprised and touched me.

Behind the scenes of a true crime novel
Revisado: 02-04-24
Wow, I didn’t expect to like this - but it reads like a narrated novel of a writer researching to write a novel. You get to ride along with him as he uncovers the mysteries and the clues. The book was highly engaging and I couldn’t stop until the end.

Really engaging plot with likable but flawed MC and interesting supporting characters. Plot is like an onion and keeps you hooked. Narrator nails the vibe. Hope this series continues!

Fantastic action-packed drama!
Revisado: 06-06-23
Love every book I’ve read so far by this author. She brings in family, life goals, rising talent, and code of honor into a plot filled with action. The supporting characters are interesting and complex enough that they draw you in to another perspective of the main character. Narrators we’re awesome at keeping the tones just right for the scenes and pronunciation of the names. Hope there are more with these characters!

Heartfelt story of relationships
Revisado: 03-25-23
This started out a tad slow but then sped up as it flashed between the characters earlier life and present day. I loved the characters so richly described. I didn’t not expect the outcome, which kept things interesting, but it made sense and was a positive spin on what really matters.

A modern historical thriller
Revisado: 04-18-22
I normally skip historical thrillers and stick with contemporary especially in American based books, but I have this book a chance and it was definitely well worth it. The author wrote the main character as a very modern, forward thinking female, ahead of her time but also practical about her current cultural limitations. Kate Rudd is an excellent narrator and this audible just spins a fascinating tale that keeps us guessing until the very end.

Weak, broken, and emaciated, it’s Luca’s first wife, Lydia. Missing for ten years, presumed dead, and very much alive, she has quite a story. But the more enmeshed Lydia becomes in Merritt’s family, the more questions Merritt has.

Fantastic slow burn thriller with a twist
Revisado: 03-29-22
I was settled into this book, loving the narrators version of the characters, thinking I knew the outcome when out of left field a twist came and reframed the whole plot.
