Historia
With the story of her conversion as a backdrop, Rosaria Butterfield invites us into her home to show us how God can use “radical, ordinary hospitality” to bring the Gospel to our lost friends and neighbors. Such hospitality sees our homes as not our own but as God’s tools for the furtherance of his kingdom as we welcome those who look, think, believe, and act differently from us into our everyday, sometimes messy lives - helping them see what true Christian faith really looks like.

Probably the best book I've read this year.
Revisado: 08-01-18
Not many teaching books make me laugh, cry, and my jaw drop. Very convicting, very helpful, and filled with fascinating stories. Interestingly, the author actually seems to practice hospitality toward the reader by inviting us into her life and her home and all the messiness in order to help us see Christ.

Historia
There are a lot of myths about productivity--what it means to get things done and how to accomplish work that really matters. In our current era of innovation and information overload, it may feel harder than ever to understand the meaning of work or to have a sense of vocation or calling.

Head and shoulders above secular productivity books
Revisado: 08-10-17
Matt Perman's approach differs so much from other productivity authors in his view of Why we should aspire to be productive; namely for the glory of God and the good of others. This should be especially important for the Christian. While benefiting from his practical advice, I found the most helpful things to be the big picture undergirding it all. You feel caught up in a much bigger story than simply "Be productive so that you feel good about yourself, become successful, and have free time to do what you want," (which is essentially how other productivity gurus attempt to motivate you). Highly recommend this book!
