I can’t recommend this book enough!
Revisado: 07-26-22
This book has introduced me to the idea of fascia as a way to heal myself of chronic pain. The author writes in a way that is plain, simple and easy to understand. He also comes across as very kind and empathetic. I intend to recommend this book to members of my family who are experiencing the debilitating effects of chronic pain. No one should have to live with unnecessary pain.

Another Valuable Audible on Healing Chronic Pain
Revisado: 04-06-22
I read some of the reviews for this book including one which was critical and gave it little value. I think a review like that is a disservice to many of us suffering for years with unexplained chronic pain. I recently discovered the mind/body connection and have already read (or rather listened to) several books on the subject, including Dr. John Sarno. I find this book to be a different approach to the same ideas. I haven’t finished this book yet nor have I “cured” my chronic neck and head pain. But I believe the more I learn different “takes” about this approach, the better my chances of overcoming this nightmare. I am definitely enjoying this book and even though the author isn’t as “slick” at reading his own words I am learning a lot about me! And that’s critical!

I’ve enjoyed this book very much! I am truly impressed by the author’s willingness to expose so much about herself. It’s not for everyone but I do believe many people can be seriously helped with their own journeys of physical and emotional pain. Thank you Dr. Sterling for your authenticity!

I haven’t even started this book but the narrators voice and mode of talking is a complete turnoff. I’ll keep listening because the information is important to me. Why do the powers that be choose such awful narrators for their books. I even have the speed cut down to .8x to help mitigate the annoyance. Geezh!

Simple and effective
Revisado: 01-16-22
I happened upon this audible by chance while looking for anything about the cervical spine. I’ve had extreme pain and headaches about every 3 to 5 days for approximately 7 years. They usually come in the middle of the night, waking me up and last anywhere from 4 to 10 hours. Needless to say this has effected my life greatly in an adverse way. I have tried everything to no avail. Once the pain and headache starts absolutely nothing takes it away until it runs it’s course. This morning after being up since 2:00am I decided to try these extremely simple exercises. It takes about 20 minutes if you go through the whole routine. I suddenly realized after about 10 minutes that the headache was gone. I’m going to keep using this audible book to see if I can prevent and hopefully eliminate these awful episodes.

This is an excellent book!
Revisado: 11-27-21
I love Dr. Harper’s books! This is actually the only one I have finished in full and it is a very important one! I love the language she uses to make her points. I’m very comfortable with “vulgar” words. Because to me it feels authentic! When I worked in a psychiatric hospital I was very well liked by the patients (for the most part) because I presented my authentic self and in turn I believe this helped them to feel more open and trusted, and yes, authentic. This applies to all relationships. It’s a great book. I think you’re going to like it too!

Looking for something my super smart 8 year old would listen to and not be insulted. This may or may not fit the bill. But I was disappointed that the last several seconds of this very brief book were dedicated to credits. Total turn off.
