Some good thoughts by the author. But the narrator was difficult to listen to. Every phrase went up in intonation suggesting a question or lack of confidence. It became annoying and difficult to listen to the content.

First, the writing did not use proper grammar, which was distracting. it could have been overlooked if the narration was not so completely terrible. it is choppy and irritating. I'd rather have Siri read me the book.
Second, and more importantly, I had to put this book down after listening to chapter 3/section 5 re men and women. The author essentially talked about the challenges of ADHD in the workplace and in relationships/home instead of men and women, respectively. As a woman managing my ADHD in a career that requires high levels of executive functioning, this was infuriating. At one point, the book said "women lack managerial skills." While certainly certain skills are impaired with ADHD, that was not the same language included in the discussion around men. While the book did acknowledge that women are less frequently diagnosed than men, the book still included hurtful and unhelpful gender stereotypes around women being in the home while men have careers.
Do better.

Pretty basic information. The last chapter that gives advice was the equivalent of "get a planner" and felt a bit condescending. The narrator was great and had good expression/not monotonous/etc.

Author has an incomplete understanding of how ADHD works, especially for women. while there are some valuable and interesting tid bits, overall the book fed into ADHD stereotypes and did not embrace the nuance, particularly of inattentive ADHD (which is only "inattentive" from an outsiders perspective). The narrator was difficult to listen to and over-enunciated words and had odd rhythm and monotonous tone, which made paying attention difficult for me with my ADHD.
