Historia
Something’s gone wrong in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. We can all feel it, but if we’re being honest, most of us don’t understand it. At the end of the day, we don’t have all the facts, and if you don’t know how something works, how do you fix it? A Return to Common Sense is a concise, no-nonsense, dare we say fun, guide to how America works and a roadmap to reclaiming a government of, by, and for the people.

A must for everyone
Revisado: 02-26-25
She clearly explains how our government is supposed to work, some of the history as to how some laws came to be, & a call to arms if we want to save our Democracy! This book is a Must for all to listen to no matter what the polical affiliation. She is smart & knows well what she talks about. Highly recommended!

Historia
Over the last 40 years, Stuart Woods has written more than 90 novels of suspense and intrigue, beginning with the award-winning Chiefs. Featuring iconic crime-fighting and jet-setting leads, the plots are masterfully conceived and wonderfully escapist. What many readers and listeners don’t know is that Woods' very own life was filled with similar stories of adventure.

way too much about sailing & his properties
Revisado: 07-28-24
Having been a fan of his books & characters I wanted to learn more about how he wrote & developed his stories from his own life. His book Chiefs is the only one he talked about a little. He goes into great detail about his sailing races, living in Ireland, homes he had all over. yes it was an life of riches, but not so much how he earned it all. as a regular voice of the Woods books, Tony Robert's does a good job, but that is all. very disappointed.

Genius, artist, monstre sacré, Orson Welles had one of the most brilliant careers in show business. Here he confides his most intimate feelings and recollections of his life. With remarkable detail and intimacy, Barbara Leaming reveals the private Welles: from child prodigy and young lion in Dublin and New York, to the succès de scandale of his The War of the Worlds broadcast; from his auspicious directing debut with the legendary Citizen Kane in his 20s to the sabotage of his further directing career.

Interesting, enlightening, but still incomplete.
Revisado: 06-05-22
As a Welles fan, never knew much about him. This book, well written & read, helped fill in a lot of info & background, but also skated over some people & incidences I would have liked to know more about. As an example, I have the AFI Tribute on VHS. The focus that night was repeatedly on The Ambersomss movie, not Citicen Kane which was hardly mentioned if at all. I wondered if the Hearst Org had something to do with that and how he really reacted since,,per this bio, the studio had totally changed it via editing from his version.

Although a bit dry at times, fairly matter of fact telling of his pov regarding the FBI , the Clinton email investigation , the Mueller report, the Flynn interview, the IG investigation into his emails, what he know of the Russian Active Measures, & being on the receiving end of trump's ire & wrath via tweets.

Historia
It is a chilling story that begins in the 1970s, when Trump made his first splash in the booming, money-drenched world of New York real estate, and ends with Trump’s inauguration as president of the US. That moment was the culmination of Vladimir Putin’s long mission to undermine Western democracy, a mission that he and his hand-selected group of oligarchs and Mafia kingpins had ensnared Trump in, starting more than 20 years ago with the massive bailout of a string of Trump hotel and casino failures. This book confirms the most incredible American paranoias about Russian malevolence.

A lot of info, but so many Russian names confusing
Revisado: 02-11-19
Overall a lot of good background info, but keeping track of all the Russian names involved made most of the book confusing. Jason does a good job reading & pronouncing the foreign names, but occasionally the syllables he puts the accent on threw me off, like the way he pronounced Vadimer. it just may have been a more authentic way of doing so. I recommend Russian Roulette book over this one for Russia/Trump connection info.
