Historia
Everyone is looking for shortcuts in life, but rarely do they find the kind they're looking for, and when they do, it never turns out like they thought. But what if you were to accidentally fall into cahoots with an other-worldly creature, who could provide those shortcuts and so much more? Of course, there's always a price attached to such favors, but killing gets easier the more you do it, and everything is great as long as the rewards outweigh the risk.

A fun time full of humor.
Revisado: 06-24-21
A fun book that plays with diabolical mythology and world-building. All the characters are fun, and I really enjoyed seeing everything come together in the end.
John Wayne does a fantastic job narrating his work.

Historia
The internet is a scary place. Beneath Facebook and Twitter is another world. One in which anything can be obtained - for a price. A community of black markets, depraved pornography, and death. This is the dark web. Leon was just curious. He had heard the stories of the secrets and forbidden fetishes that the dark web offered. He was an activist, protesting against war and hate. But after a protest became violent, he felt he needed protection. Being a teenager with no way to buy a gun legally, he had no choice but to turn to the dark web.

A twisted little piece of darkness
Revisado: 04-08-21
Sean's narration is always on point, and never takes you out of the story that the author presents. As for Mangum's prose, it was *chef kiss* A constant race towards a terrible finish line that explores not only the strange and terrible culmination of Mangum's own mythology, but the true darkness that actually resides within people.

Historia
Some things, according to Cody McCall, are worth risking a whipping. Such as, sneaking out with your friends after dark for a peek at the traveling show setting up just outside of town. Oddities, the signs promise. Marvels. Grotesqueries. Exotic attractions and mysterious magics. Not as if they'd be allowed to attend otherwise, not with parents and preacher and schoolmarm all disapproving. But how often does a chance like this come along? There isn't much else by way of excitement in quiet, peaceful Silver River, a once-prosperous boom town slowly gone bust.

A Masterpiece of Violence
Revisado: 02-28-21
I am a reader who appreciates on-page violence. I want the gore, I want to see everything and to be on hand in the front center splash zone wearing a raincoat to keep the blood from filling my shoes. Morgan does not disappoint.
Morgan is an incredible author, Not only does her prose pop, but the world-building is capable of putting together is staggering. The Night Silver River Run Red is a story that takes place in a town, that exists in a fully realized world, a place that seems real, with all the little details and moments you need for the story to be a real place populated by real people.
Real good people, real bad people, real kind people, real cruel people, and by the end of the story, mostly real dead people.
I heartily recommend you visit Silver River, but make sure you bring your raincoat.
The narration was on point and fantastic as well.

Abnett Delivers Us To The 41st Millenium
Revisado: 06-23-18
Dan Abnett brings the world of 40k to life, his books are a fantastic intro to the world and Eisenhorn is the gold standard for what this sort of fiction can be. The narration and voice acting is spot on, and never takes you out of the setting.
