Historia
NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories is the first tell-all autobiography from one of the world's most influential and controversial punk bands. Fans and non-fans alike will be shocked by the stories of murder, suicide, addiction, counterfeiting, riots, bondage, terminal illness, the Yakuza, and drinking pee. Told from the perspective of each of the band's members, this audiobook looks back at more than 30 years of comedy, tragedy, and completely inexplicable success.

Unique in the true sense of the word
Revisado: 08-06-18
I’ve read or listened to a lot of musicians’ memoirs or biographies, and I’ve never experienced one quite like the NOFX book. The four members of the band each wrote and narrated their own chapters, so each one’s story feels extremely intimate—their idiosyncrasies are on full display. There are also a handful of chapters from two former members of NOFX, represented in audio form by Tommy Chong and Jello Biafra. These chapters don’t resonate on the same personal level as the “main” ones, but they are plenty enjoyable.
Memoirs are often praised for their openness, and this one is as open as they come. The members of NOFX discuss drug addiction, the violence of the LA punk scene in the 80s, and immense personal tragedies in great detail. Parts of this book are very dark and disturbing, but others are full of humor—this is still NOFX after all.
This book is a must-read/listen if you’re a fan of NOFX or punk in general, and I’d venture to say it’s well worth a look if you’re not familiar with the band but enjoy memoirs.

Historia
From 1991 through 2005, the Atlanta Braves did something no pro sports team can match, finishing in first place for 14 consecutive seasons. During that stretch, the Braves parlayed powerful pitching with potent hitting that produced under pressure. Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox won with veteran teams, young teams, slugging teams, and several times with teams that emphasized speed and defense. His teams captured 100 wins in six different seasons.

A Good Listen for Any Baseball Fan
Revisado: 08-25-17
I remember when the Braves were the best team in the league, but I was young enough that I didn't know about any of the "inside baseball" stuff going on beyond the games themselves. As an adult who follows baseball closely, it's fun to get the full picture of a time I didn't know much about. Schlossburg's research is thorough and his descriptions of on- and off-the-field events are compelling. Tait's narration is very well done; he reminds me of a play-by-play announcer, even-toned and excited about the game. This book is worth listening to for any baseball fan, and I'd say it's a must-read if you're a big Braves fan.
