As a life long Godzilla fan, I purchased this on a whim when it recently came up as Audible's Daily Deal, I enjoyed it so much I gifted it to my brother who is also a Godzilla fan! Will Wheaton's narration is awesome, I wish it was longer or that a sequel was forthcoming...

Sorry, just couldn't get behind the AI narration, the AI voice provides a totally bland narration and its difficult to get involved, which is unfortunate as I typically enjoy these 'monster' stories, which remind me of B monster movies from my childhood. I've started skipping any books that are narrated by virtual voice.

I was surprised at how much I liked this novella, I typically like much longer books but as this one is included in the plus catalog I figured what did I have to lose and was pleasantly surprised. I always enjoy a good creature feature and this one did not disappoint.

I really hate that the story just ends, I didn’t see in the synopsis that this was part 1 etc, so this was kind of expensive for less than 5 hours of audio. It ended so abruptly I had to relisten to the ending to make sure I didn’t miss anything. None of the story lines were concluded at the end, so I can only guess they’re forcing you to buy the continuation(s), which I won’t. Performance was fine however as it abruptly ended the story is lacking.

I enjoy listening to nature / animals gone wild stories so this one was a shoe in, I have listened to this audiobook a few times over the past few years, however recently, I've noticed that a part of the story that was previously there no longer seems to be there - in particular the part where one of the Finglebay fisherman goes out in his small boat after meeting with Cate Granger, I've listened and relistened trying to find that piece of the storyline but cannot find it - if anyone knows where it is within the story please post the chapter & timestamp! I'm wondering if the audiobook was edited and for some reason this section was removed although I don't know why it would have been.
