Historia
Laurence Fife was a slick divorce lawyer and slippery ladies' man. Until someone killed him. The jury believed that it was his pretty young wife Nikki, so they sent her to prison for eight years. Now, Nikki's out on parole and Kinsey Millhone's in for trouble. Nikki hires Kinsey to discover who really killed her husband. But the trail is eight years cold, and at the end is a chilling twist even Kinsey doesn't suspect, a second eight-year-old murder and a brand new corpse.

Male voices were awful.
Revisado: 11-17-21
I’ve learned one thing listening to audible. That is that the best narrators do not try to fake the voice of the opposite sex. Instead they rely on subtle cues to get the point across. This narrator would be wise to that.

Historia
Nero Wolfe is a fictional detective, created in 1934 by the American mystery writer Rex Stout. Wolfe's confidential assistant Archie Goodwin narrates the cases of the overweight detective genius. In total, Stout wrote 33 novels and 39 short stories from 1934 to 1974, with most of them set in New York City. Wolfe's residence, a luxurious brownstone on West 35th Street, features prominently in the series. Many radio, television and film adaptations were made from Stout's stories.

Embarrassingly bad adaptation.
Revisado: 12-16-18
These radio programs should be avoided by all Nero Wolfe fans. It is just awful in almost everyway. For example, Archie is portrayed as a lecherous boob and Nero Wolfe as a silly, lazy genius who routinely falls a asleep in his chair. Greenstreet's voice makes him sound creepy as well. Disgusting. I would go on but I have already wasted enough time on these horrible performances. The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes are a much better example of new material that stays faithful to the original stories. I consider this collection the biggest waste of money I have ever made on Audible. After the first episode I tried to return it. but either I don't know how to do that or you cannot return item.

Historia
On the world called Hyperion, beyond the law of the Hegemony of Man, there waits the creature called the Shrike. There are those who worship it. There are those who fear it. And there are those who have vowed to destroy it. In the Valley of the Time Tombs, where huge, brooding structures move backward through time, the Shrike waits for them all.

Terrible waste of time.
Revisado: 12-10-17
Most of this book is a slog made worst by one of the weakest ending I have ever read. The whole purpose of the pilgrims telling their stories is to see how they are connected, which might explain why they were selected for the pilgrimage, which might give them some insight in how to deal with the Shrike. SPOILER ALERT They aren't connected, there is no explanation and they don't even reach the Shrike by the end of this book. Pet peeve, the author uses lots of descriptions of this sort, he looked old and yet looked young somehow.... Weak!
