another fantastic story. a different topic then most. night life on the back streets of Italy. although I don't understand Italian, or have never been to Italy or its history I greatly enjoy this series and the open topics. presented by a great narrator which makes the story that much more enjoyable. now on to the next book.

Historia
During intermission at the famed La Fenice opera house in Venice, Italy, a notoriously difficult and widely disliked German conductor is poisoned—and suspects abound. Guido Brunetti, a native Venetian, sets out to unravel the mystery behind the high-profile murder. To do so, he calls on his knowledge of Venice, its culture, and its dirty politics. Along the way, he finds the crime may have roots going back decades—and that revenge, corruption, and even Italian cuisine may play a role.

Historia
Relentless phone calls interrupt the peace of a warm August morning in Three Pines. Though the tiny Québec village is impossible to find on any map, someone has managed to track down Armand Gamache, head of homicide at the Sûreté, as he sits with his wife in their back garden. Reine-Marie watches with increasing unease as her husband refuses to pick up, though he clearly knows who is on the other end. When he finally answers, his rage shatters the calm of their quiet Sunday morning.

Good narrator
Revisado: 11-06-24
I thought the narrator was good. he improved on ren marie gave her more emotion in her voice, not so flat. although I thought he could of used his own voice as Galaxy with the accent. the voice he used for Hamas sounded like the Godfather. as for Ruth not quite there. I did like the narrator s voice very much. people just need to get used to it. keep him on. As for the story I thought it was good, however I read to get away from real problems of life. this was too terrifyingly real. I did like how a lot of past characters were brought back and added to this story. it was like I really knew them. I have read or listened to all 18 books at least 6 times. each time I see parts of the story in a new light. please keep on writing about Gamach. I would like to know if his hearing improves. I will wait a week and listen to this again.

Historia
Valdez Jones VIII calls himself Wrecker because his great-great-great-great-great-grandfather salvaged shipwrecks for a living. So is it destiny, irony, or just bad luck when Wrecker comes across a speedboat that has run hard aground on a sand flat? The men in the boat don't want Wrecker to call for help—in fact, they'll pay him to forget he ever saw them. Wrecker would be happy to forget, but he keeps seeing these men all over Key West—at the marina, even in the cemetery. And now they want more than his silence—they want a lookout.
