Historia
In The Four Agreements, a New York Times best seller for over seven years, don Miguel Ruiz revealed how the process of our education, or “domestication,” can make us forget the wisdom we were born with. Throughout our lives, we make many agreements that go against ourselves and create needless suffering.

well this just about rounds it out. I appreciate this book can almost be read or listened to prior to the original four agreements book. It mentions it enough to make it extremely interesting and eager for one want to go back to the beginning. bravo.

Historia
In this intimate and open account—nothing like any rock-and-roll memoir you’ve ever read—Alex Van Halen shares his personal story of family, friendship, music and brotherly love in a remarkable tribute to his beloved brother and band mate. In his rough yet sweet voice, Alex recounts the brothers’ childhood, first in the Netherlands and then in working class Pasadena, California, with an itinerant musician father and a very proper Indonesian-born mother.

Revisado: 11-04-24
I love that Alex read this. Who else could have? The stories were great and even his laughs and Snickers felt genuine. why wouldn't they? as a huge fan of Alex I can appreciate the connection with his brother and the way that it happened. this book lays it all out and it is one of the greatest tributes you will ever read.

Historia
It’s easy to get disheartened when your planet has been blown up, the woman you love has vanished due to a misunderstanding about space/time, the spaceship you are on crashes on a remote and Bob-fearing planet, and all you have to fall back on are a few simple sandwich-making skills. However, instead of being disheartened, Arthur Dent makes the terrible mistake of starting to enjoy life a bit–and immediately all hell breaks loose.

finished with the five or six book series!
Revisado: 10-23-24
I've listened to all of them one after the other and I can't remember how many books there were but I enjoyed every single one. They are so witty and interesting and overly explained that it left me in stitches and wonderment. if you're looking for a break from all of your serious non-fiction reads, this is it. then again maybe this is real! #42

Historia
Back on Earth with nothing more to show for his long, strange trip through time and space than a ratty towel and a plastic shopping bag, Arthur Dent is ready to believe that the past eight years were all just a figment of his stressed-out imagination. But a gift-wrapped fishbowl with a cryptic inscription, the mysterious disappearance of Earth’s dolphins, and the discovery of his battered copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy all conspire to give Arthur the sneaking suspicion that something otherworldly is indeed going on.

What a great fourth book
Revisado: 10-05-24
I'm so entertained by the narrator and the different characters and the storyline and the exaggerated explanations and verbal Dynamics that happen in all of these books. I don't know if there are any more, but I will certainly be seeking them out. this is a great departure from my usual non-fiction of the past 5 years on audible. thank you!

Historia
According to the Buddha, no one can attain basic sanity or enlightenment without practicing meditation. The teachings given here on the outlook and technique of meditation provide the foundation that every practitioner needs to awaken as the Buddha did. Trungpa teaches us to let go of the urge to make meditation serve our ambition; thus we can relax into openness.

I appreciated the inflection style of the narrator. The book itself was done very well and I really like the conversational style. I've been through several these types of audiobooks and they're always the most pleasurable to listen to. highly recommended

Historia
Buddhism asserts that we each have the potential to free ourselves from the prison of our problems. As practiced for more than 2,600 years, the process involves working with, rather than against, our depression, anxiety, and compulsions. We do this by recognizing the habitual ways our minds perceive and react - the way they mislead. The lively exercises and inspiring real-world examples Cayton provides can help you transform intractable problems and neutralize suffering by cultivating a radically liberating self-understanding.
