Historia
Finding and identifying a pirate ship is the hardest thing to do under the sea. But two men—John Chatterton and John Mattera—are willing to risk everything to find the Golden Fleece, the ship of the infamous pirate Joseph Bannister. At large during the Golden Age of Piracy in the seventeenth century, Bannister should have been immortalized in the lore of the sea—his exploits more notorious than Blackbeard’s, more daring than Kidd’s. But his story, and his ship, have been lost to time.

Riveting historical detective work, underwater!
Revisado: 12-15-16
Love mysteries? Pirates? Diving? Treasure? I had never before heard of the pirate captain Joseph Bannister, a respectable English merchant captain turned pirate in Jamaica who battled two Royal Navy warships to a draw. The wreck of his ship, the Golden Fleece, had never been found until Chatterton and Matera piece together pieces from Spanish archives, London booksellers and treasure hunters to find it, right under their noses all along. Loved it!

Fascinating study of the intelligence of some fellow creatures, including wolves and killer whales. Can get a bit lengthy on the biology of the brain and language, but his examples of animal intelligence are astounding

Historia
It was June of 1869 when John Muir reluctantly accepted a job herding sheep from the central valley of California to the headwaters of the Merced and Tuolumne Rivers, high into the Sierra Nevadas and deep into the Yosemite region. He felt ill equipped for the work, and yet the opportunity thrilled his adventurous spirit. With a notebook tied to his belt, he set out for a summer he would never forget. My First Summer in the Sierra is Muir’s classic account of that extraordinary journey.

An American Classic, expertly performed !
Revisado: 10-08-15
What better voice to evoke Scout than Sissy Spacek's soft and delicate Southern lilt? Listening to this version of Harper Lee's classic completely fulfilled the urge I had to revisit To Kill upon the release of Watchman.
