Highly recommended for all
Revisado: 06-18-23
The information is applicable to not just athletes but non-athletes and anyone associated with them. As a 62-year young powerlifter making my comeback after two shoulder surgeries I am anxious to break my 40+ year all-time PR…age is mind over matter; if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter!

Historia
There is a new revolution happening in sports as more and more athletes are basing their success on this game-changing combination: health, nutrition, training, recovery, and mindset. Unfortunately, the evidence-based techniques that the expert PhDs, academic institutions, and professional performance staffs follow can be in stark contrast to what many athletes actually practice. When combined with the noise of social media, old-school traditions, and bro-science, it can be difficult to separate fact from fiction.

A must read for increasing performance!
Revisado: 05-23-23
I have read, and/or listened to, more than 4K books on increasing performance—from the battlefield to the boardroom to the competitive arena—and the author has produced an amazing blueprint for anyone desiring to improve their results in all areas, not just athletics.
Yes, I have read or heard of the majority of his exhaustive resources, but it has taken me more than 50 years to assemble what Dr. Bubbs has done with PEAK!
After reading some of the reviews, I realize others may believe the information is “dry” or less than ground breaking, but therein lies one of the major issues with overcoming “common” problems—human performance, obesity, dementia, etc—in that the solutions are available but individuals don’t implement them. If you’re not part of the solution then you’re part of the problem!
Although seemingly focused on coaches and support staff, I think this should be required reading for athletes, parents and significant others as a foundation for taking an active part in performance improvement from having a general understanding of their journey, thus being able to ask intelligent questions of their coaches, etc.
If you want to save yourself an infinite amount of time and greatly improve your (athletic) performance then you need this book!

Customers, followers, subscribers. It's easy to just look at the numbers. How many likes? How many purchases? How many email subscribers? But as entrepreneurs, we have to remember that there are people behind all that data. People who are looking to us to be a leader, to give advice, and to care. In this dog-eat-dog world, these are the people who are looking for someone who they can trust and who they know have their best interests in mind.

I’m a fan of Kelley’s ‘1,000 True Fans’ and was glad to hear it mentioned in Superfans. However, as much as I like Flynn’s content, my dislike for sci-fi, boy bands, zombies, etc overshadowed some of the concepts.

Only Audiobook I never finished
Revisado: 03-14-23
I’ve read 4K books and listened to 100s of audiobooks so it’s hard to find something that hasn’t been said myriad times…this book offered nothing new. If it wasn’t for the piñata story I would have given it one star across the board.
I will say this though, if you’ve never read or listened to a self-help book and you’re into fantasy/fiction (matrix, bible, etc) then you might like this book.
