Awesome thriller
Revisado: 04-25-25
I absolutely loved the narrators! The story was fast paced for me and had me hooked from the start. I'm a fan of this author and each book is better than the last one. I guessed the twist, but I stuck around because it was written so well!

In a boarded-up house on a dead-end street at the edge of the wild Washington woods lives a family of three. A teenage girl who isn’t allowed outside, not after last time. A man who drinks alone in front of his TV, trying to ignore the gaps in his memory. And a house cat who loves napping and reading the Bible. An unspeakable secret binds them together, but when a new neighbor moves in next door, what is buried out among the birch trees may come back to haunt them all.

The narrator really sucks you into the story. It was well written and I didn't see a few twists in this book coming at all! I really enjoyed it.

Heartbreaking
Revisado: 10-11-24
This book was so sad. Listening to Joanne tell the readers about her childhood and everything that happened to her was just heartbreaking and a little to relatable. It can be eye opening for those who had a great childhood. The author did a fantastic job of telling her childhood through her adulthood. So many things happened to her and her family. It's an amazing story of survival, breaking cycles and family. I really hope Joanne is okay and her family!

Historia
Taylor Smith hasn’t always had it easy, but she worked hard for her college scholarship and makes do with her job—all to avoid ending up like her parents. Claire, her roommate and best friend, is the exact opposite, rich beyond Taylor’s comprehension and maybe a little high maintenance. When a charming man named Dylan shows up at Taylor’s work and asks her out on a date, she is flustered, but flattered.

Amazing!
Revisado: 09-01-24
This is the second time I have read this book, although this is the first time I have listened to it on audio. The narrator is quickly becoming one of my favorites! She gave every character their own voice and she gave so much life to this book!
This book is dark, and it made me sob buckets. Please check triggers before diving into this one. It will break you, but at the end it will put you back together! Claire is a spitfire and she fought so hard for Taylor. I will never read this book again without picturing Dylan as a toad, lol. Anyway the narrator is amazing and the author is amazing too! I highly recommend it!

Wonderful narrator
Revisado: 02-14-24
The narrator did a wonderful job! They gave each character their own voice and it was easy to follow along! The book goes between the past and the present. Zoey tells her story of when she was kidnapped and what happened after. She adopted the daughter of a serial killer. As time goes on she wonders if her daughter is like her father. The book was a bit slow sometimes, but picked up very quickly! The little cliffhanger chapters will keep you hooked! I didn’t trust anyone at the end! Highly recommend!

When a chance encounter puts her face-to-face with a hot Viking who's only in town a couple of weeks, she decides she deserves to give herself a present. Love!
Revisado: 12-22-23
I absolutely loved the narrator for this book! I’m very picky with my narrators. This book is told in dual POV’s and the narrator did a fantastic male voice. They really sucked me into the story. The narrator did a great accent.
I fell for Odin right away! Janie deserved so much! The author did a great job of making me dislike Donald. (I do have stronger feelings for that man, but I will refrain). I think this is the authors spiciest book. I felt like I needed several cold showers, and that’s not good in the middle of winter. Overall I would recommend it to those who love romcoms! The narrator did a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life.

Wowza! This book!
Revisado: 08-13-23
I usually have troubles reading fantasty, but oh boy this book! I followed along with no issues. I quickly fell in love with the characters. The world building wasn’t confusing at all for me. I really loved that there were multiple POV’s. I like to read about all of the characters and love them even more! This book was a bit dark, it made my heart race, there was just so much that I loved in this book! I didn’t want the story to end. I seriously can’t wait for the next book. The narrator did a fantastic job with this book. She did just a great job giving each character a unique voice!

Swoon!
Revisado: 07-21-23
Oh my gosh. This book is so perfect! It was everything I needed to lift my mood. Rory is such a sassy woman and I just adore her so much! The narrators did such an incredible job bringing them to life! There was a twist in here that I didn’t see at all!
I laughed so much listening to this book. The relationship between the two characters was just perfection! The angst, the tension, the spice! I needed a cold shower just to cool down! These two have an incredible connection! I cannot wait to read about Jill! I love that Michelle Mars gives us little sneak peaks into the other characters lives and builds up to the next book!
If you want to swoon, laugh, and possibly cry (I know I did) this series may be for you!

Fantastic!
Revisado: 07-15-23
This is my second time reading this book and I can’t believe I forgot to review it. This book has stuck with me. It’s just one of those books for me that I really loved! Michelle Mars has created this fantastic world with aliens, and vampires. The aliens are on earth to save the humans because they are on a mission to save the humans before earth is destroyed. There are a few groups that don’t believe that earth is going to be destroyed. One of which is a very bad group that will destroy aliens.
We are introduced to Jack who is a sassy and funny vampire. She has a blog where she talks about being a vampire and hopes to help others if they are vampires are well. Even though she is sassy as hell, she has no confidence in herself thanks to her mother who raised her and how she treated her. I related so much to Jack, I just wish I had her sass!
This book is full of action, spice, (and lots of great spice at that) a bit of adventure. I think it would be a great starter for someone who wants to try sci-fi. I don’t read much of it, but Michelle Mars wrote it where I didn’t feel lost and I understood everything well. We are introduced to other characters, and I can’t wait to read the next in the series. Her best friend, Rory… she’s now my best friend! Give this book a try. It’s fantastic!!!

The narrator really brought the story to life. I have listened to this book 3 times! The story is so chilling and fast paced. Even though the story is very short, the author gave them so much life. I felt like I was really there and I need more!
