Historia
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

A PERFECT way to unwind for any parent!
Revisado: 09-09-17
WAY better than reading because JG narrates. I laughed out loud in public unabashedly so many times that people asked me what I was listening to! Chapters are short but many so you can easily enjoy one right before or after a stressful event and lighten your mood quickly.

Historia
Every 69 seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Of the top 10 killers, it is the only disease for which there is no cure or treatment. For most people, there is nothing that they can do to fight back. But one family is doing all they can. The DeMoe family has the most devastating form of the disease that there is: early onset Alzheimer's, an inherited genetic mutation that causes the disease in 100 percent of cases, and has a 50 percent chance of being passed onto the next generation.

Captivating for those with a personal connection
Revisado: 08-19-17
I am a family survivor of Alzheimer's disease, a healthcare provider who has dedicated my work to treating people with dementia and educating those who care for them, and now a teacher of others who want to bring hope to a generation facing this awful disease. I found this full of both clinical and personal information that truly cast AD in the prominent light it needs to find a cure.
