Historia
Loren Calla has only ever been ordinary. As a human struggling to survive in a city that caters to the needs of vampires, werewolves, witches, and other supernatural creatures, she always assumed her life would remain simple, predictable, and as safe as her world would allow. Until she barely escapes abduction at the hands of Darkslayers—supernatural bounty hunters that possess the Sight, a magical tracking ability that allows them to see a person's aura—and one of her friends is taken in her place. The abductors are demanding a ransom: Loren's life in exchange for her friend's safe return.

Amusing, But Unoriginal
Revisado: 03-01-25
It felt like someone took Twilight, Crescent City, and a bit of ACOTAR… and fed it through an Ai to make the most unoriginal mix of these stories. Literal scenes, characters and lines are all-but carbon copied from these other stories. The only positive I can say is, if you liked the other stories and want a book that mixes them together, then this book will hit the mark. Also not super sure about the immaturity of the characters, it made the romance less enjoyable for me.

Historia
The USS Kentucky - a Trident ballistic missile submarine carrying a full complement of 192 nuclear warheads - sets out on a routine cruise. Not long after it reaches the open sea, however, the Kentucky receives a launch order. After receiving that launch order, it is cut off from all counter orders and disappears into the Pacific while it makes the eight-day transit to the launch site. What the Kentucky's crew doesn't know is that those launch orders didn't come from the US government.

USS Kentucky Sailor here...
Revisado: 01-08-20
I qualified Submarines on the Kentucky and it’s near and dear to my heart. Thanks for bringing me back to the boat! Great story. My only problem is the boat depicted in the cover art isn’t an Ohio Class boat. Looks more like a Virginia or Seawolf. You should probably get that right.
