Gripping
Revisado: 12-11-24
This is an amazing series I recommend to everyone. While some of the trope descriptions can get a bit tedious the overall story is enthralling. I’m not even into horror movies but this book has such an interesting angle that it’s like a combination of a mystery and sci-fi and fantasy and litRPG all in one. It gave me chills multiple times.

Historia
Strength comes not in victories. It comes from standing up after defeats, in reaching out a hand and pulling others to their feet. Of pushing others ahead of one’s self. Alvans must dig deep. They have paid a heavy price, a price felt in the hearts of every member. They started as a small group fighting to just survive in the first realm to a nation that challenged the combined United Sect Alliance. Instead of crumbling, they bared their teeth, they fought forces from the seventh realm. They bled their enemy every step of the way.

Keep’s getting better!
Revisado: 04-20-22
This series starts slow but keeps getting better as it goes. These last four books 6&7 each in two parts, were by far the best!

Historia
The Headshot Online Box Set is a LitRPG adventure set in a post-apocalyptic virtual world featuring hordes of undead. It's perfect for fans of Daniel Schinhofen, Tao Wong, and C.M. Carney. Headshot has just gone live, and the whole world's playing the new Artificial Reality blockbuster. Unfortunately, unless you can buy your way onto the Survivor's side, you can only participate as a Zombie. Each week, the forces gather to tear each other down to the bone...until, at week’s end, the Apocalypse is reset.

Great Concept, Poor Execution
Revisado: 02-23-22
I love LitRPG books, but this just left me so bored. I never quit books, but I just couldn't handle it.
*warning - spoilers*
For example, a full 50% of Book 2 is the main character as an invisible ghost just watching someone else - attempting over and over again to interact and being repeatedly surprised when it doesn't work. Boring.
The writer really tries to get me invested in his constant "all rich people are evil" concept, but it just doesn't work. I don't hate people simply because they have money. Many have money because they work hard. They aren't all lazy sleazy super-evil people. Just get over yourself already.
Also, this guy got stuck inside a simulation for over 5 days without food or sleep (or bathroom breaks)? I mean, he would have died? They don't even try to explain it. Then the main evil villain CEO guy "reboots" his brain some 700 times, every single time having long drawn out conversations. I was bored listening to one conversation which took over an hour to listen to a 1.2x speed. Imagine doing that 700 times? Impossible. CEOs are busy - LOL - they can't spend their entire lives having boring conversations over and over again. How can they have 700 hours of boring conversation within a 24 hour period? Time dilation? Just too hard to believe. The zombies are more believable than a CEO spending that much time talking to someone he should probably just kill.
The narrator did a good job with poor material. I would have preferred more action.
