Fantastic Collection

Orwell, Joyce, Hemingway, Woolf - the list goes on - what a great collection of the best modern authors from around the world. Really enjoying all the narrators and quality is top notch.

All the Classics You Could Ever Want

Really well performed by a great cast, and fantastic selection of different classics - some I'd read, some I hadn't. Great production, too. Would definitely recommend as an ace addition to your library.

Some 1* reviews seem to be from when it was very first released and there was some issues with the track naming. I just deleted the download and re-downloaded, and it's working perfectly - everything is labelled and very easy to navigate. 10/10 all round.

5* Collection of American Classics

The cast is absolutely on point and the selection of titles covers the very best of American literature up to the mid-twentieth century. I would heartily recommend!

Incredible Collection of Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky

The performances are incredible throughout - they bring nuance and humour to Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy and allowed me to experience them in a new way. The production levels are ace, too. An absolute bargain to get all of this, so well done, for one credit.

Everything is accurately indexed, too, so easy to find your way to particular stories or novels.

All in all, an A* collection that I can't recommend highly enough!

An Incredible Twain Collection with A* Narration!

Everything from the world of Twain that you could ever want is in this collection. All the novels, the extensive collection of short stories, and some of his funniest and most revealing travel essays, as-well as the autobiography to top it off.

The narration is first-class throughout - especially Nathan Osgood who is fast becoming one of my favourite narrators and leads us through the Twain and Huck stories, as-well as many of the other writings, with ease and humour.

Everything is labelled so it's easy to find what you want to listen to if you want to dip in and out of stories or essays, and the sound quality is as good as anything I've heard on Audible.

I'd give it 10* if I could and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone with pair of headphones and an Audible subscription!

Absolute Perfection!

This is the best audiobook I've ever purchased on Audible.

Every track is accurately listed when you download (some earlier reviews seem to have had issues with this, but it must have been resolved since then) so you can easily find which title is which, and even split into 'novels', 'short stories', etc., so you can jump around easily.

The collection spans all of Dostoyevsky's most important works - and some that I hadn't come across before but were hugely interesting, such as 'Winter Impressions...' - and is impeccably produced. The audio quality is perfect and the narrators throughout give some of the best readings of Dostoyevsky that I've ever heard - particularly David Rintoul reading Karamazov and Crime and Punishment. He's an absolute revelation.

If you only buy one thing on Audible, make it this collection! I can't recommend it highly enough.

M.R. James is an Absolute Master Storyteller

I loved this collection. As the winter nights draw in, this has been the perfect audiobook to listen to. It contains all of M.R. James' stories and he is an outstanding writer. Chilling and scary, and, sometimes, beautiful, I would recommend this to all.

The collection is expertly read by Jonathan Keeble. He is an outstanding narrator and couldn't be a better fit for James' work.

Unlike many, the collection is also fully indexed so you can clearly see which story is which.

The Finest Ghost Stories

This collection of ghost stories has a fantastic range of authors and stories - from Poe to Henry James, Dickens to Conan Doyle and beyond. If you're interested in the genre I would definitely reccommend adding it to your library!
