Historia
A Bullet for Cinderella is one of John D. MacDonald's earlier works but nonetheless is a brilliant piece of writing. A POW in the Korean War, Tal Howard returns to find himself restless and haunted by the tale told to him by a friend who didn't make it home: a stolen fortune hidden away in the soldier's hometown with the only clue a girl named Cinderella. Tal decides to leave everything behind and go and try and find the money.

Vintage MacDonald
Revisado: 07-27-17
What did you love best about A Bullet for Cinderella?
The fact that we ( My husband and me ) found it. We thought we had heard everything of this author's on audio.
What did you like best about this story?
IT was vintage MacDonald, although the main character ( sorry, forgot his name ) was not quite as likable as Spencer and other MacDonald characters. Redeemed himself at the end, though.
Which scene was your favorite?
Very last one.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Cry just once. Not my hubbie though. We listened together in the car.
Any additional comments?
We both thought the reader was quite good so no idea why one person gave him a bad review. To each his own, I guess.

Well written and well read
Revisado: 05-22-15
Would you consider the audio edition of 200,000 Miles aboard the Destroyer Cotten to be better than the print version?
Better in the sense I would never have had time to sit down and read it.
What did you like best about this story?
Battle details and strategy were fascinating.
Which scene was your favorite?
The occupation of Japan chapter was wonderful. Very different from the rest of the book but a great way to end it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Author realizing that the Japanese people themselves were great. Problem was with their arrogant leaders.
Any additional comments?
Narrator did an excellent job.

Excellent sci-fi "after the bomb" story
Revisado: 11-25-14
What made the experience of listening to Wanted the most enjoyable?
Caught me up from the first page and never let up.. Fast-paced, suspenseful, and very believable. The characters are well rounded with background on each so you know how they got to be who they are.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Wanted?
Hero coming back to his home and doing battle with the bad guys who have invaded it.
Which scene was your favorite?
See above.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
A bit long for that...but finished it in a few days.
Any additional comments?
Narrator was quite good...very believable voices for all main characters without going overboard.
