When a retired detective and a former police dog set out on a culinary tour of the British Isles, they dream of tasty treats and delicious bakes.... What they find is mystery, mayhem, and murder. The interactions between Albert and Rex Harrison.
Revisado: 05-04-25
I love the way the mysteries are solved, the relationships between Albert's family and friends, their accents, and especially Rex's "voice."

Historia
A shadowy master criminal has been kidnapping experts from the food industry and stealing both food and equipment. The crimes are so unrelated no one in the world had noticed the connections. No one except Albert Smith, that is. He’s got almost nothing to go on, but with every place he visits, he gets just a little closer to the truth. He’s not working alone though, his faithful sidekick, Rex Harrison the former police dog is right there with him. Can the two of them pull off the impossible and find the man Albert chose to dub ‘the Gastrothief’?

Historia
Ah, remember ye olde days when the family would gather around the giant Philco radio and listen to serials? You don’t? We don’t either. But apparently that’s how Cinnamon Bear was born on November 26, 1937, as the star of a holiday season cliff-hanger-style children’s radio series. We hear it was quite the rage!

Happy to hear my old friends and their story!
Revisado: 12-07-21
I am thrilled this is available. Can't wait to hear these NEW versions. My younger brother and I listened to the original stories in the early 1950s on the radio when we were very young. This is a fantastic addition to my list of Christmas favorites. I can't wait to introduce these to my grandchildren! Thank You!
